Are 11 Howie Long's suiting up for Nova on defense?

Georgia vs. Georgia Tech is better than most of the games on that list, even if it happens every year.

UGA-GT is so one sided it's more of an end of the year punchline for UGA fans.

So Michigan-Ohio State is a punchline because UM has won only one out of the last even games? It doesn't really work like that.

You have a lot of spunk, but your analogy is lacking.

Four things, young grasshopper.

1)
Michigan> Georgia Tech ( as much as I hate to say that)

2)
Michigan vs. Ohio State > Georgia vs. Georgia Tech

3)

Michigan vs. Ohio State = conference game

Georgia Tech vs. Georgia = OOC

4) Last 35 games

Georgia 28 wins
Georgia Tech 7 wins

Georgia leads the overall series 59-38-1

Michigan 19 wins
Ohio State 14 wins
One Tie

Michigan leads overall series

57-41-1

P.S.

Your training wheels should remain on.
boomer400
You actually use 59-38 vs. 57-41 in an effort to show that one rivalry is significantly more competitive than the other. How can I even try to argue with that? As for the others: 1) Who cares; 2) Who cares; 3) Obviously, but that's not relevant to an argument about competitiveness. You justify UGA-GT not mattering by saying it's "one-sided," and respond to questions about that reasoning with four random statements that don't address my point. Training wheels indeed.

There's your reading assignment. But then again it involves schools below the Mason-Dixon line, so ignoring all logic and responding with long-winded, illogical, and irrelevant non sequiturs is probably going to be your next move.

And Kansas/South Florida for that matter, though I suppose USF will have trouble repeating the success of 2007.

Doubt it. USF will thump Kansas and have a 9-3 type season.

Of course, We all know this game will be trumped by the big time UGA-GT game. rolleyes.gif

Fresno State has a chance to do some real damage this year. If FSU can win all 3 OOC games above and run the table in the WAC, look out.

Oregon State at Penn State will be a good one. OSU will be implementing some new players on offense and defense...Penn State has a lot to prove in what could be Joe Pa's last season.

As much as both of us might like to believe that, I can't see it happening for Missouri this year. To me there are too many holes on the offensive line (one of the best in the country last year with 3 seniors). Missouri needs too many things to go their way to compete for the national championship. I think they'll easily go 9-3 or 10-2 again, but they'll have dumb losses to teams they should beat in the Big 12 - Oklahoma State, Colorado, and Kansas State are all dangerous games this year. Missouri has to go to Texas but I have a good feeling about them in Austin this year. I've followed too many teams who have a hangover from one big year to believe Missouri is a legitimate national title contender.

My prediction: 10-2, key losses: Kansas State, Nebraska. Key Wins: Kansas, Texas, Illinois.

As for the Illini, I do think they'll be a good team - I honestly can't wait for August 30 - Juice Williams is legit, and Aurelius Benn is absurdly good. Missouri and Illinois' offenses are both pretty explosive, so the "Arch Rivalry" should be just as fun as it was this past year.
WSU Cougars
Mizzou had OU on the ropes in Norman last year and beat a good KU team. I think Mizzou will be national title contenders just because of their offense alone and their ability to score as will.

As a Temple student, I support the Owls' in their goal to make it to a bowl game this year. That being said, I can't wait for their home opener on Sept. 6 vs. UConn. Anyone want to make the trip to Philly to see the game? I think it will be a good match. Let me know. wink.gif

Nah - USC won't be in the national championship game this year...not by a long shot...a top ten finish perhaps, but not 1 or 2.

I am fairly new to this forum and not made many replies but read through quite a few and you seem to be well represented with your views. Your quote is interesting as it seems as if your pervasive opinions preceed you with others. In any event, you seem to be well versed in cf and it is my passion so I look forward to posting with you in the future on cf topics. I am still impressed by what you guys did to us in White's freshman year in Sugar Bowl and have had immense respect for WVU since that time. Loved your bowl game last year.. so though your post is with tongue firmly planted in cheek....I enjoy your posts!! I was so happy with RR decision as I do not like when coaches leave schools high and dry (see Saban)...go dogs and I do happen to agree with your post concerning GT game as it has not been much of a game likely but must admit I like it like that!!

Welcome aboard, UGA. You seem to be quite knowledgeble and you will add a lot to the board greatly.

I have a lot of respect for Georgia football. Stafford and Moreno are going to be special this year. Living here in Atlanta, you sense the excitement among Bulldog fans that this could be the year. Of course, I am a lot more partial to the SEC ( being a UT alum) than ACC, so I like seeing the SEC beat up on ACC teams.

FSU @ Rutgers & Wisconsin @ FSU should be great games. I'm not thinking FSU will have much trouble at UCLA though.
