Stopping by here to leave my get-well wishes to Kerwin Danley. I just watched the replay of the ball that hit him on mlb.tv and as a guy who works more than his fair share of games behind the plate, it sure makes me cringe. It's very difficult getting hit with the ball in areas unprotected by equipment (and in some places, the protection doesn't do very much anyway), but when that ball is headed towards your face it's so hard to react.

I read some initial reports this morning that Danley is alert and doing much better. He's a good umpire and I wish him well so he can be back on the field soon.
