A report yesterday said Canadian billionaire Jim Balsillie, the co-founder of Waterloo, Ont.-based Research in Motion, had offered to buy the club from owner Tom Golisano around Christmas.

Can we please make him go away? He doesn't deserve to ever own a hockey team. Ever.

And Golisano replied, "Sure I'll listen...just make sure you'll keep the team in Buffalo."

Click.

If he keeps throwing money around, some team will eventually take his offer. Just a matter of the league going with it.

And hopefully that never happens. Now, if someone of better moral standing wants to buy a team like say Phoenix or Florida... seriously try to make it work in that market... fail... and then wants to move said team to Canada, Timbuktu, or where ever, I'm all for it... but not Jim Balsillie. Not no way, not no how (to quote the Wizard of Oz).
