Year after year I’m amazed by the increased involvement and growth in numbers for gay sports in Chicago. Our gay sports leagues get bigger and bigger each season - and even the newer and lesser known sports have taken off (badminton and dodge ball for example).

This season our CMSA Beach Volleyball league had a record number of teams register. A total of 140 teams are registered to play in 7 different skill divisions for men and 2 divisions for women. It’s just phenomenal!

Just wondered if there are any CMSA softball players on here.

What are your thoughts on the rule changes this year? Was there an impact to your team and the division they were placed in based on adopting NAAAGA’s player ratings stystem..ie ‘D’ division for players rated 10 or lower, ‘C’ division for players rated 11-14…etc?

I have a few beefs, but wondered if others have encountered any situations.
