Now that idol is done, it's time for one of the best competitive reality shows to return. So You Think You Can Dance!

Hopefully they limit the audition shows to only two weeks and then it's on to Vegas.

Bring it on, Cat Deeley, you sexy minx, you.
High Tyde
I think this is an underrated show. Some of the performers can really do truly amazing things. Neil and Danny from last year...my GOD. The things that I would... *drifts off*

Anyways, I don't know if anyone noticed but the dancers that appeared on stage with the Idol finalists last nite were, as best as I could tell, the finalists from the last season of SYTYCD. Pasha, Jesus and Ricky were there for sure.

Can't wait for the show to start.
Mariner Duck Guy
I'm not a fan of the audition rounds but at least with dance, they usually limit the audition rounds to two weeks. I missed the first hour of the show but did catch the second hour. That elastic guy was amazing. I will be surprised if he makes it to the finals, but his tricks were unreal. I like Asuka and hope she makes the finals. I wonder if that cute football player (the one who had a jerk of a dad) auditioned this year.
BoSoxRudy
Ballroom is by far my favorite genre, yet I wasn't crazy about either ballroom couple. Neither pair were as hot-hot-hot as last year's Pasha and Anya, that's for sure. I agree, the elastic guy was incredible, as was the popper who closed out the show.

MDG, I was wondering about the football cutie too. When the dad was lamenting how sad he was that his son went from being the star quarterback to a ballet dancer, I doubt it was the dancing that bothered the dad so much. I'm guessing what had dad so bent out of shape was that the quarterback dumped his cheerleader girlfriend to start dating another guy in his ballet class. In last year's show, the ex-QB had only been dancing for 8 months and wasn't nearly good enough to make it on the show. He'll have another year of experience and training, but even that's probably not enough. But at some point, a few years down the road, I'm guessing we'll see that guy again.

I'm really glad they're using previous years' contestants more this season, but I could do without Dominic. The guy is just way too overacty for me.

I like this show

I HATE Idol with a purple passion
Mariner Duck Guy
OK, I feel dirty. Two HOT youngins tonight. Jeremiah Hughes from Toronto. Good looking, hot bod, right amount of hair on the chest, the treasure trail and a nice personality. I hope he does well in Vegas.

The other is 18 y/o Brandon Bryant who lied in his first audition for SYTYCD 1 when he said he was 18 when he was really 15. Well developed fr 18 and showed a nice balance of strength and grace. I think he picked the perfect audition song. We shall see how he does in Vegas but I think he is a favorite to make the Top 20.

There was also that guy wearing black who was in the front of the Thriller routine and did some spins coming out the front door with his ticket to Vegas.

I hope Claire does better in Vegas and maybe put on 5 - 10 pounds as well.

There must be an underlying reason why they didn't like Julliard trained Anthony.

Based on the three shows aired, there is the potential of having some really hawt guys on the show this season.

Only one more audition show before the Vegas round and then the Top 20!

And I LOVE Cat Deeley.

Yes, Toronto guy was hot. I liked his choice of the open shirt. The hottest guy (to me) so far this season was the first one they showed this year... the Italian guy who was really arrogant and not that great. But damn, he was sexy as hell.

I also love Cat. She seems to really care about the contestants in a real way... not in just a TV host sort of way. And my favorite choreographer is Mia Michaels. I wish she was on each episode. She's so raw and honest with her emotions.

Also... one of my favorite aspects of SYTYCD is the music these dancers choose. I'd never heard "Lost" by Anouk before tonight's episode. I love that song and had to check out the full version. It was the song Courtney danced to. This show is way, way better than Idol.

I totally agree! Every season I create a SYTYCD playlist on my ipod because there are always songs that I hear for the first time on the show. I wonder what the guys exit song & the girls exit song will be this year?
So far for this season I have "24" by Jem and, like you, I also enjoyed "Lost". Thanks for the name of the song. There was another song that I enjoyed but I have to rewatch the episode to find out the dancers name.

The Italian guy was hot, but his personality and arrogance was a total turn-off.

There was also the guy with the ugly red shorts in one of the episodes last week who was cute.
EricNC
What was your reaction last night to that "hot tranny mess?" Nigel and Mary were SO angry about his bit (or shit). I agreed that he was clearly not there for the right reasons, but was a.m.a.z.e.d that Nigel said he represented everything that people say disparagingly about dancers. That queen never saw that one coming. Wow. Made my cheeks flush.

Overall I think the judging on this show is brutally honest. I like it.
BoSoxRudy
Claire is proof that dancing is NOT like riding a bicycle. There is a substantive difference between the clips of her two years ago and this year. While she still has musicality and a few nice moves, she seems to have lost a good deal of her technique. Happy for her that she made it through to Vegas, but I gotta think she's toast once she gets there.

I liked the identical twins (forget their names). It was a great moment when they allowed the two to do one of their duo routines, which saved the brother who initially got a no.

I guess I'm just not a big fan of contemporary because I thought a couple of girls they put straight through to Vegas absolutely SUCKED. Lindsay, the girl with the big eyes who they went on and on about how cute she was? Totally sucked. And the girl last night whose aunt was her biggest fan? Again, craptastic. Please, tell me Nigel put them through because they're young and cute and will create for some great drama in Vegas. But I'll be shocked if either one makes it into the final 20. And that Miss Texas beauty pageant girl? If she makes it through, I'll puke into my own cupped hands.

Gotta admit, as arrogant and full of himself as he was, I liked the Italian guy too. That attitude, as obnoxious as it was, was also sexy as hell. Also, don't you think he was hamming it up for the camera? He's probably somewhat like that in real life, but with the volume turned way down. Mind you, Jeremiah Hughes is far from a study in humility. But with that hairy chest and fantastic bod, who cares?! Damn you, Nigel, for telling him to button up that shirt!! Brandon Brant was another beauty. He might have the most amazing body I've ever seen on a dancer, incredible that someone with a physique so developed is only 18.

I don't know if they had an agenda with the Juilliard dancer. Even though his technique was sound, there was nothing about him that impressed me as a dancer.
Mariner Duck Guy
Doing the Bump! to the top.

More music heard in the show (some used last season as well):

"Dancing" - Elisa - beautiful, haunting song. Kami and Lacey danced a Mia Michael contemp to this song in week 1 last season.
"California" - Craig Lyons
"Goodbye You" - Craig Lyons
"Let the Drummer Kick. - Citizen Cope. Used last season and is now used in some commercial.

Tonight is the last show before the Vegas round tomorrow night.

I can't believe how much I look forward to this show.

jaragonus
This has to be the most joyful of all the reality shows.
fanonscudder
We gotta discuss Travis Wall's drag performance to "It's Raining Men". Who's idea was this? Certainly not Nigel "dance like a man" the producer. In his season, Travis dinged the gaydar, but now he's off the charts.
TheOtherFSU
Nothing about Travis ever said "straight" in my opinion. For a show where Nigel loves a "masculine" dancer and always insists on masculine guys, it's amazing that Benji won. And it's probably even more amazing that Benji still "hasn't found the right girl."

Borrowing a funny line from Roseanne Barr, I'll just say this about Benji: "He couldn't be any more gay if his name were Gay Gayerson."

You mean "Danielle Chorizo's" performance! That was hilarious. And Travis has killer legs! Did you notice that he threw in choreography from past seasons? The umbrella, there were some moves that Dominic performed, and then fanning himself like Danny did in his tango with Sara. Napoleon also mentioned "Is that Tracy?" which seems to be an acknowlegement to the drag photos that were posted on the internet by Travis post season 2 when he referred to the character as his twin sister "Tracy". Hilarious

Some pretty good talent last night. Evan, the Gene Kelly dancer was interesting. Cooper, the Travis clone. Courtni, the girl who's mother is her teacher. Michael Kim the amazing Popper. And booty shaking girl was a hoot.

Bring on Vegas! Bring on the Top 20. I have a feeling it's going to be a good season.
TheOtherFSU
A lot of my favorites didn't make it to the Top 20. There's no Brandon and no Evan for one thing, and some of those cut were surprising. I'm sure the contestants will grow on me in the coming weeks, but so far the group doesn't quite seem as good or as interesting as in recent seasons.
fanonscudder
the guys seem to be heavy on contemporary and very very gay. I loved it when Mia got told to be quiet by Debbie Allen (but wtf did she come from and why is she on the show?). Also what happened to the curly haired judge Brian w/ the awful fashion sense?
BoSoxRudy
What happened to the wavey-wiggly guy who knocked out the judges, both last year and this season? Unless I got a little crazy with the fast-forwarding, I missed him in the Vegas round. And 'fess up: who didn't feel just a wee bit of schadenfreude when Miss Texas got cut and turned into a nasty little bitch?? The whole pageant system is like a cult, where all the contestants are these perfect little Wives of Stepford, that is, unless you scratch the surface and are lucky enough to reveal nastiness within.

And where is the sexy Russian? Isn't it in the SYTYCD by-laws that every season must feature a sexy Russian ballroom dancer?? Season 1 had Artem, 2 had Dmitri, and 3 had Pasha, but no sexy Russian this season?!?

Jeremiah Hughes had to be cut after he walked off the stage mid-performance, but I would have cut him before that for shaving off that perfectly hairy chest.
Mariner Duck Guy
I was very surprised with the Top 20. A lot of the guys that I was rooting for didn't make the Top 20. Still, I was happy with the diversity of the group. I hope Kourtni (Uma Thurman) does well. Too bad Cooper (Travis clone) didn't make the final cut, but it looks like they are heavy on the contemporary. Rayven, the ballerina who they did not show, will be very interesting to watch.

If you read their bios, here is Mark Kanemura's Bio:

What is your full name?
Mark Kenneth Ioane Kanemura

Do you have a nickname?
Marky, GEISHA, Markooshka

and then...

What other talents/hobbies do you have?

I enjoy crafty things and I also like to think I’m a runway coach, I enjoy walk offs with friends, and in my car I’m a professional singer!!

Yeah...you think he's G-A-Y??

And he's from Honolulu so he may be the man I'm rooting for. Marquis is very cute. Jamie has the potential for hot guy status as well.

Matt Dorame kind of reminds me of the love child of Ice Skater Evan Lysacek & actor Noah Wylie.

Kourtni is my favorite girl, but I'll wait and see how they all do after their first dance.

BoSoxRudy
I once met a guy who danced with ABT during the Barishnykov era, and he mentioned that he and Barishnykov were the only two straight guys in the company at the time. Since Misha was a superstar and he was a lowly corps dancer, he had about as much social contact with the other straight guy as a vassal does with a 10th century king. Anyway, point being, if you take away the breakers, I'm guessing the SYTYCD Season 4's demographics are a pretty similar situation. All the guys seem to be gay, Gayer, and GAYEST laugh.gif
jaragonus
Gay but masculine dancers! ( or at least according to Nigel) I'm sorry the kid who did the Gene Kelly routine for his audition did not make it.
Mariner Duck Guy
bring on the Top 20! We finally get to see ALL 20 dancers. It should be a night of Cha Cha, Contemporary, Hip Hop and Disco. I haven't selected my fave male yet and I'm waiting to see Comfort and Raven dance. Dan Karaty is supposed to be the guest judge tonight.
Texas Daytripper
The couple that danced to "Tainted Love", looked like Solid Gold dancers. I forgot I was watching "So You Think You Can Dance".
Mariner Duck Guy
Wow. Joshua & Katee's Hip Hop to "No Air" totally caught me off guard. I was not expecting to enjoy the dance, but it ended up being my favorite. I also enjoyed Thaye & Chelsea's cha cha. And I really like Mark Kanemura because he's so quirky. Chelsea H's dress was a litttle distracting, but I enjoyed their Mia Michael dance.

My favorite:

1. Joshua & Katee
2. Thayne & Chelsea
3. Mark & Chelsea H.

I think the bottom three will be:

Susie & Marquis - this was not good, but Marquis is beautiful for being 18
Rayven & Jamie because they went first..and it was kind of a white bread hip hop.
Jessica & William - He's much better than her. I find her forgettable.

I think the judges will send home Jessica and Marquis.
High Tyde
Was it just me or did the crowd seem absolutely lethargic last nite? My memory may be playing tricks on me but it seemed like the audiences were much more vocal last year.

I was also disappointed that the judges offered so much praise and so very little criticism. Hopefully the show will get better as some of the dead weight is tossed.

Also, in a late nite viewing of "Hairspray" recently, I noticed that Twitch was one of the dancers. Interesting considering Adam Shankman's role as a guest judge last year and the promotion for Hairspray during the season.

The hip-hop routines are, 9 times out of 10, my favorites and I havent been disappointed with them so far.
BoSoxRudy
Rayven definitely deserved to go - her solo was ghastly! Forget that it was demi-pointe instead of en pointe, the solo was just BAD!! But Jessica's was no better, and I thought she was notably worse on Wednesday night than Raven. Raven was sabotaged somewhat by weak choreography whereas Jessica couldn't stop tottering around on those heels. Frankly, I hope Jessica gets sh*tcanned next week so that Will, probably the best of the male dancers, gets a decent partner. But would dancing en pointe have made the difference for Rayven? eek! what if she just forgot to bring her pointe shoes??

Jamie was in a sh*tty situation, competing against Will and Matt to avoid elimination. None of the three deserved to go. Jamie brings terrific personality to the stage. Matt's solo was indeed an impressive technical display. I am slightly bothered by the show's favoring of contemporary dancers. Why all the ooh-ing and ah-ing over Matt's technique yet no mention of Jamie's? It just seems that whenever it's a tossup between a contemporary dancer and a dancer of another genre, the contemporary dancer stays and the other one gets sh*tcanned. Why bother to include ballroom and breaking if you're not going to respect the genres equally?

Anyway, IMNSHO, the guy who deserved to go was Chris. There's nothing more horrifying to me than when a guy who's gayer than Richard Simmons to the fourth power tries to pretend that he's lusting after a girl. When Chris was going on about Comfort's short skirt and terrific legs, I almost puked all over my plasma.
Mariner Duck Guy
Raven & Jamie were indeed torpedoed.
1. Little or no face time until the finals.
2. Going first. Coincidence?
3. Crappy choreography & genre for them. It was like Napoleon & Tabitha gave the "A" choreo. to Joshua & Katee and handed R&J their "C" list choreo.

I still think they should make week 1 non-elimination. That way everyone would get face time. Just carry the votes over and add it to the total of week two. They could even eliminate 4 People in week 2 if they don't want to extend the season.

I wish Jessica was sent home. I just don't think she's memorable and I am not impressed with her dancing. I thought Matt was a gone. I didn't think they were going to cut the only male with partnering skills....but they did.

Wade Robson's opening number was freaks. Mark rocked that dance!

Cat.......GORGEOUS.

Pussycat Dolls. Hate the song, but the Dolls? They were, as Christian aptly put, a Hot Tranny Mess. Legs legs legs.

I 'effin LOVE this show.
TheOtherFSU
Now I remember what always bugs me about this show. It's even worse than Idol as far as sending the wrong people home early. There's no way that Jamie deserved to go home. He had -- by far -- the best solo of the guys. It wasn't even close.
TheOtherFSU
Oh how I love Mia Michaels! She's the only one who tells it like it is. She was spot-on about Kherrington's overdone smile last night.

Overall I thought it was a good night but not necessarily great. I continue to think last year's final group of dancers was better overall than this year's. I'm really loving Joshua and Katee though, and I would never have pegged them as a pair I would be rooting for a couple of weeks ago. They are great together. Mark and Gev are my two favorite guys. I don't think I've ever seen a more mismatched couple on this series than Marquis and Susie. Susie is just weird, and I don't understand at all why the judges keep calling her hot. She's far from hot if you ask me.
BoSoxRudy
Yikes, Marquis and Susie were a MESS! I can't believe that with salsa as Susie's specialty they still managed to botch that routine. I really wish Jessica would go because she's like an anvil dragging down Will, who is indeed a genius. Wow, you could have knocked him over with a feather when Mia said that. And I really hated Mark and Khourtni's jazz routine, although I don't think it's really their fault. Like Debbie Allen said last season, she doesn't care much for jazz because it's just too "itsy-bitsy," and this routine was just that. But the worst of the night had to be Comfort and Chris. Thank goodness Nigel said it flat-out. Chris was just pathetic out there, probably the wimpiest krumper I've ever seen. As Travel proved a couple of seasons ago, white boys can definitely krump, but Chris is just a wimpy dancer, whether krumping or anything else. And as much as I love Comfort, she needed to bring so much more.

But on to the positive! I can't believe how good Joshua and Katee are, both individually and as partners. They must be working their a$$es off to pull off routines as tight and polished as their two so far. As much as I love Twist and Kherington, I have to agree with Mia's critique about over-smiling. But their Viennese waltz was beautiful. You would expect as much from Kherington, but Twist really outdid himself. And I really liked Chelsea and Mark's tango as well. It was nice to see Mark pull off a serious dance character. Chelsea was great, of course, she's a ballroom dancer, but Mark really deserves credit for making that tango shine.

With all the great dancers who were cut in Vegas, I'm very surprised to see Jessica and Susie in the top 20. One of them should be going tonight. Although I'm not a big Susie fan, I wish Jessica would be eliminated so that Will could get a better partner. Of the guys, both Marquis and Chris are in trouble. Marquis seems a little better technically, and Chris's personality (or lack thereof) kind of annoys me, so hopefully Chris gets the boot.
TheOtherFSU
For the second straight week, I think the judges got the elimination wrong for the guys. Marquis did not deserve to go home; but, as is almost always the case on this show, they send a pair from the same couple home. That's dumb. Susie deserved to go, but Marquis didn't. Plus, Marquis had a great solo last night.

These solos where they "dance for their lives," are really ridiculous. It's always apparent that the judges do NOT take them into account when they're deciding who to send home. Marquis had the best solo this week, and I thought Jamie was the best the previous week, but both left because their partners were sent home. Aargh!

I was looking thru some SYTYCD trivia and came up with some interesting items:
- Hottie Neil from last season is now starring in 'Altar Boyz' off Broadway
- Choreographer Wade Robson (a hottie in his own right) is perhaps best known as being the subject of one of the most scandalous parts of the Michael Jackson trial. (I had never heard this.) Wade as a boy was one of the kids Michael Jackson used to invite to Neverland, and I guess Wade was one of the kids that Jackson was accused of having an inappropriate relationship with.
Mariner Duck Guy
I was not surprised that Susie & Marquis were the ones who left the show. While Marquis is superb as a soloist, I don't think he had the partnering skills or the maturity level in his dancing to remain in the competition. Chris and Thayne have more versatility (although Chris sucked at crumping...but who doesn't) and maturity. Marquis has beautiful lines, but I didn't care for his dance last week or this week and he keeps reverting to sticking his leg over his head. I see Chris or Matt leaving next week. I hope Jessica leaves for the women, but William is so damn good, I don't know if they will land in the bottom 3.

My faves in no particular order:

Men:
1. Mark
2. Joshua
3. William
4. Twitch
5. Gev or Thayne

Women:
1. Kherington
2. Chelsea T
3. Chelsea H
4. Katee (I like Joshua & Katee..but is she the Kameron of this season? Good with a partner, but weak as a soloist).
5. Courtney or Kourtni

And how handsome did Mark look on Wednesday night? Wow.

MattMetsFan
Mark is HOT!

I expected to like Twitch more than I do...I don't know why.
jaragonus
My favorite at the moment is Gev.
Mariner Duck Guy
I FLOVED Chelsie & Mark tonight. I thought their Napoleon & Tabitha choreo. Hip Hop to Leona Lewis' "Bleeding Love" was awesome. Katie & Joshua's Samba was also really good. Katee was sexy in her half dress and Joshua...woah...that ass! SPECTACULAR booty action. Courtney & Gev are totally pulling a Sabra/Dominic. Courtney looked smokin' hot in her half dress. Wow. I enjoyed both of Tony Meredith & Melanie LaPlatin's choreography tonight.

Matt & Kourtni's dance was different. I like the new choreographer and her mohawk.

For tonight:
1. Chelsie & Mark
2. Katee & Joshua
3. Courtney & Geve
4. Kourtni & Matt
5. Kherington & Twitch

I HATED Chris & Comfort (but mainly Chris) in Tyce's choreog. to Marilyn Manson's "Beautiful People". I was really looking forward to the song and something edgy, but,as Nigel & Mary pointed out, Chris was extremely soft in hitting his moves.

I was once a fan of Chelsea & Thayne but they have had two bad weeks in a row.

I think Chris will be leaving tomorrow and, although I wish Jessica or Comfort would leave, I think Chelsea will be leaving the show tomorrow night for the women.

MDG rankings:

Men:
1. Mark
2. Joshua
3. William
4. Twitch
5. Gev

Women:
1. Chelsie H
2. Katee
3. Kherington
4. Courtney
5. Kourtni
TheOtherFSU
This season isn't quite doing it for me like the previous seasons (at least so far). I really like Mark & Chelsie, Gev & Courtney and Joshua/Katee, but the others don't excite me. I'm over Twitch & Kherrington. Chris needs to go home. And I thought Will & his partner (can't remember her name) were extremely over-praised by the judges tonight. There's no need for this show to continue to be 2 hours long... there was way too much filler. A lot of tonight's show was boring for me, but that's probably just because I'd gotten done watching Fresno State win the NCAA baseball championship earlier in the evening! smile.gif
Mariner Duck Guy
I have mixed emotions. They chopped down the tree, but they also dismissed Chelsea T. Why oh Why didn't William & Jessica land in the bottom 3 so Jessica could have been sent packing.

The group number...amazing. Mark was the star of the piece. I would have thought it was a Wade Robson routine, but was not totally surprised that it was Mia Michaels. Now I have to get Charlotte Martin's "The Dance". I also need to check out her cd "Stromata"

I'm hoping a Thayne/Comfort pairing works, but I still see them hitting bottom three next week. I don't see Thayne or Matt making it to the Top 10.

And I actually teared up during Chris farewell. Don't know why, I just did.
BoSoxRudy
Tears of joy? Sorry, that was mean, and Chris doesn't deserve it. But he most definitely deserved to go home (I thought he should have gone last week). Thayne's solo was very good, and Matt's was great whereas Chris's was pretty weak. I was a wee bit surprised by Chelsea's dismissal, but picking from that threesome was tough. Yeah, Jessica really deserves to go. If she weren't paired up with The Genius, she'd be long gone. Besides being a weak dancer, I find her personality pretty damn annoying.

You're right, MDG, whenever Tabitha and Napoleon choreograph two numbers, they seem to bring their A game for one of them, and then kinda phone it in with the 2nd one. That airport signaling number that Twitch and Kherington got stuck with?? EEK! But I absolutely loved the number for Chelsea and Mark. I am floored by Joshua's mad samba skillz. Hip-hoppers usually struggle with ballroom, but Joshua looked born for the Carnaval. Not that I'm complaining, but could those pants have been any tighter? Did he pull them over his legs, or did they just spray-paint them on? But the best performance of the night was Will in the disco routine. Mia's right, the man is a genius.

I have my doubts about Thayne and Comfort as well. Thayne seems to lack the personality while Comfort doesn't seem versatile enough in the other genres. With two more eliminations before the final 10, I don't see how either of them makes it.
Mariner Duck Guy
So awesome. Mark is amazing, just watch his facial expressions. Mark is the one in the middle..the ringmaster.
I added Charlotte Martin's "The Dance" to my SYTYCD 4 playlist.

The Dance
BoSoxRudy
I didn't care for the routine at all - it seemed too much like Mia Michaels as Wade Robson wannabe, plus it was too much mime theater, my pet peeve about Robson's routines. BUT, having said that, Mark absolutely made it worth watching. Not just his incredible facial expressions, but everything about his movement brilliantly portrayed the character of the (I'm guessing) evil ringmaster.

Mark is definitely the sexiest guy on the show for me. Will is the best-looking, and Matt has the most beautiful legs I've seen in quite some time (and believe you me, I am such a legs man!), but sexiness isn't always about looks or bod. Mark is so damn quirky and funny and unique that the whole package is way sexy.
Mariner Duck Guy
There should be a lot of dancing tonight because each couple will be dancing two different dance styles.
TheOtherFSU
I can't stand that Napoleon and Tabitha. They are really annoying, and I can't believe they're married. My gaydar is working overtime on him! And boy was Nigel all over the place with his critiques last night!

Mia Michaels is a genius choreographer. Every one of her pieces amazes me. The one on the bed last night is my favorite of the season so far. Twitch's body! OMG. He was incredible and I think the guys are way better than the girls this season. Joshua, Twitch and Mark could all win. Mark is probably still my favorite to watch and I'm pulling for him though I love Joshua too.

Matt needs to go home for the guys tonight. For the girls, I'd say either Kourtni or (more likely) Jessica.

And MDG, I know you liked Anouk's verison of "Lost," which has been featured a couple of times this season. You also might like the version of "Lost" done by Erlend Bratland. He's a quirky 16-year-old Norwegian who performed the song and won Norway's Got Talent because of it.
Mariner Duck Guy
And don't forget William! He also has a smokin' body. The guys are going to be tough to beat this year. 4 of them are awesome.

Matt or Thayne leaves tonight and the other one will leave next week.

For the women, I think if Matt goes, Kourtni will go. If it is Thayne, and if Jessica lands bottom 3, then Jessica goes. If Courtney G lands bottom 3, the I think either Comfort or Kourtni goes home.

I would think they are keeping Comfort for diversity and she's the only Popper amongst the women.

Mia Michaels is on fire! I preferred Joshua And Katee's routine over the bed routine. Katee's floating run across the stage was chilling. I also really enjoyed Chelsea and Mark's kiss kiss dance.

MDG faves:

1. Mark
2. Joshua
3. Twitch
4. William
5. Gev

1. Katee
2. Chelsea
3. Kherington
4. Courtney
5. Comfort

And thanks for the link, TOFSU. I will listen to it when I get home tonight. I love Norwegian singers. The Norwegian idols are amongst my all time favorite idol singers.
BoSoxRudy
As sad as I am to see two such technically brilliant dancers like Matt and Kourtni eliminated, I can understand the decision. They just never connected with the public, and for the life of me, I can't think of a single routine of theirs that stood out.

Will is simply a genius. He was good in the jive number and brilliant in the lyrical jazz routine. And OMG, he has one of the finest torsos I've ever seen!! As soon as he and Jessica are uncoupled, I say Jessica sinks like an anvil tossed into Boston Harbor.

I must be the exception here because both of Mia Michael's routines made me PUKE!! Joshua and Katee's was so beautifully danced, however, that I appreciated it for their performance. But that ridiculous, uber-pretentious, trying-way-too-bleepin'-hard-to-be-artsy bed thing? P-U-K-E!!!

I loved the popper, Robert Muraine, and I thought Nigel's comments about giving up were highly unnecessary. O King of Self-Centeredness, maybe, just maybe, your show isn't the Center of the Dance Universe. The show wasn't for Robert, and he figured it out straight away. Nothing wrong with that.

By the way, I loved Gev's solo. That swan-drive trick at the end was a real heart-stopper.

The Top 12 dance tonight. 2 dances each. One couple pulls "Bollywood" which will be a first! This should be very interesting.

Based on past weeks, I don't see how Thayne and Comfort make it to the Top 10. The only other girl who I could see leaving would be Jessica.

Loved loved loved Joshua and Katee's Bollywood performance. There were lots of great pieces tonight; in fact, I think it was my favorite show of the season. Gev and Courtney (sp?) were excellent. And I love when Mia is a guest judge because she just tells it like it is and doesn't hold back. When Mia told Will that she could tell he was tired... tired of dragging his partner along all season, I had to agree. Mia's kind words to Thayne were very nice. You could tell it meant a lot to him, and even though I'm 99% sure he's leaving tomorrow, I think he really got a raw deal in partnering this season. Comfort just isn't holding up her end of the bargain. The weird part is that the guys are so strong, and the women -- by comparison -- weak that I think Comfort may actually stick around another week (meaning Jessica is out) while Thayne is going home.

Sometimes Mia is just too much, but I admire that she flat-out said what she did. Will has been dragging Jessica along like a ball and chain - it's the awful truth. But in all fairness to Jessica, who amongst the remaining girls is all that much better? Katee, but she and Joshua are just so perfect together. Then again, the pairs do have to be split up next week anyway.

I loved the Bollywood number too. I love the commitment from Joshua & Katee into every routine. I certainly liked Gev & Courtney's lost explorers jazz number a lot more than Nigel. The Assassins tango was truly awful. Thayne is a terrific dancer but will never, ever be ghetto. Watching him do that hip-hop routine kinda made me cringe. Kherington was terrific for the 1st half of the krumping routine, which really surprised me. But maybe she did get tired or something, because she really lost it in the 2nd half. I really liked Mark & Chelsea's "I'm a Woman" routine, although I thought Mark needed to be more masculine. What with Nigel "King of Butch" Lythgoe's obsession with masculine dancers, I'm surprised he didn't say anything.

Who goes tomorrow? Almost certainly Thayne, which is really too bad. I'm guessing Comfort too. Something about her personality I just love, but she hasn't stepped it up in the other genres. She wasn't even that strong in the hip-hop routine tonight.

And again, Will has the most amazing body I've ever seen on this show.

Yeah, I am digging the Will body like crazy!!

To me, Will is a humbler and more friendly version of Danny last year. Both had skills, but the one acted like he knew he was above and beyond the others and one has the right heart to share his gift to all who love dance.

I loved the Bollywood number although I had a feeling Katee would ace the dance.

My favorite is still Mark and Chelsie. Its going to be sad to see them with new partners.

sweet smokin William. Just an eyeful of beauty and goodness. Dish. delish. Next week, he dances in a jock!

Thayne & Comfort must leave tonight. And then the fun begins...well, once Jessica leaves next week. The guys are all strong so it will be sad to see them leave.

MDG 10:

Mark
Will
Joshua
Chelsie
Katee.

Kherington
Courtney
Gev
Jessica unless by some miracle, Comfort survives tonight.

Am I the only one out here who thinks Mark has an AMAZING body? I thought he looked especially fine last night in his opening salsa number. I must say, I enjoyed watching him shake his "bon-bon"!!

Why are the Judges so hard on them? I tried to vote several times last night but the lines were always busy, hope that is a good sign!!
