I have hardly been able to sleep the last few nights since learning that Ed McMahon has squandered his considerable fortune and his 4 Million dollar home is the subject of a foreclosure action.

He has worked soooooo hard in life with his considerable talent. And now those awful predatory lenders are taking advantage of this poor man.

Boo hoo hoo...

I give you 3 and three quarter stars for that post.

American Express also has a judgment against Mr. Ed for nearly $750K

I don't feel sorry for him in the least

The guy was, at his peak, worth around $200 million. Yeah, I'm crying. rolleyes.gif

Do we know how he wound up in this position? Did he squander his money?

Crack. I'm thinking it was crack.

Maybe somebody from Publishers Clearinghouse will show up on his doorstep with an oversized novelty check.

From an LA Times article...he was on Larry King:

QUOTE
McMahon, in a neck brace, said he had been unable to work since he broke his neck 18 months ago, but he declined to say how the injury occurred.

"If you spend more money than you make, you know what happens," he said. "A couple of divorces thrown in, a few things like that."

See? This is why gays shouldn't be allowed to marry. laugh.gif laugh.gif I'm assuming he keeps trading in for younger women? This is my favorite...

QUOTE
Asked why a multimillionaire could not make his house payments, McMahon's wife, Pamela, said, "Over the years, it's a combination of maybe Ed working so hard and not looking at proper management. We didn't keep our eye on the ball. We made mistakes."

She added: "It's scary. I never owned a home before in my life before I met Ed."

King replied: "I don't think you'll own one again."

Ok I'm so glad this was a facetious post cuz I was about to say poor Ed McMahon my ass. I don't feel bad that this guy mismanaged his fortune and now is about to lose his mansion. I don't think the thousands of other poor Joe's who got caught up in predatory lending who are currently out of work, or got laid off, and are barely making enough to get by feel sorry for him either.
