A Heinz mayonnaise ad ("show your BLT a little NYC") showing two men kissing has been pulled in the UK after receiving complaints. In the commercial, a "New York deli man" is preparing sandwiches for the family's children (who address him as "Mum"), ending with the deli man asking for a kiss from the father as he's leaving for work.
QUOTE
Heinz has withdrawn its Deli Mayo TV ad that featured two men sharing a kiss and apologised to viewers after the advertising regulator received about 200 complaints that it was offensive and inappropriate.

The Heinz Deli Mayo ad has been pulled after less than a week on air after viewers complained to the Advertising Standards Authority that it was "offensive" and "inappropriate to see two men kissing".

Despite being a British commercial, Bill O'Reilly had to weigh in on the issue: "I don't know what the message is, other than gay people like mayonnaise. ... I'm confused. This whole gender blending thing. It's confusing to me. ... I just want mayonnaise. I don't want guys kissing."

"Straight home from work, sweet cheeks!"
LOL Wow, are gay men now mainstream or what?
Sadly, Criswell predicts that Heinz' new UK ad agency will not be their ad agency for long.

I think this is all part of the Gay Agenda. First, we take mayonnaise. Then relish, mustard and finally ketchup. Soon the condiment aisle will be ours! Bwa-ha-ha-ah! laugh.gif

But the thing is - it's not even a "gay" kiss, really.

The whole point of the ad is that their mayo gives everything an New York Deli flavor. So much so that even an English housewife becomes a Brooklyn deli guy.

Essentially, this is the TV ad equivalent of Demi Moore kissing Whoopi Goldberg in Ghost, only without breaking the illusion of character like that film did.

It's ridiculous that it was withdrawn. If they were willing to approve the ad in the first place (knowing that it'd likely cause some amount of controversy), they should have the balls to back it up. But I guess the threat of 200 complaints can bring a multinational food giant to its knees.

it's ironic that UK allowed gay marriage but wouldn't show this on tv...

and i really wouldn't give a flying sht even it hits me in the eye what Bill O Reilly's weight in on this--- he doesn't want to see this on tv because he probably gets so "hard" seeing it. what a MF.

twist my nips bill... and then finger your brown star because I wouldn't.

I think it's a cute ad...
