Hello Outsports Crew! I'm doing another summer tour, this time to our nation's capital and to the NYC area. I'm going to be in D.C. on Friday, August 14 during the day and then my fairy princess, Stacy, and I will be going to the New York area for American Idol auditions from Sunday, August 17-Thursday, August 21. Stacy and I are planning on staying at the Sheraton Meadowlands.

The auditions will be on Tuesday, and if Stacy and/or I advance, we'll be booked on Wednesday. We plan on spending Monday in New York making ourselves star-worthy for Ryan, Simon, Paula and Randy. If anyone wants to get together, please let me know through the board! Hope to see you! biggrin.gif

No responses? Whaaa? Does no one love me? rolleyes.gif

Update: The D.C. hotel in which I'll be staying that Thurs. night (Aug. 14) is located less than a block from the Navy Yard and about five blocks from Nationals Park. If anyone has any suggestions for ways to amuse myself on that Friday that are near where I'll be staying, I'm open to them. Thanks. smile.gif

Someone go meet Falconpride. I can vouch for him. (Okay, now who will vouch for me? ohmy.gif )

Colorado is at Washington that weekend. They have $5.00 tickets in 2 sections of the upper deck (called the Grandstand) that are sold only at the box office on the day of the game, after the gates open (center field gate opens 2 1/2 hours before the game). The website says "Upon purchasing Grandstand seating, fans must immediately enter the ballpark." So you'd have a long wait.

Other than that their cheapest tickets are $10 and $18 (or $10 and $20 on Saturday night, which is a "premium" night). Friday is a fireworks night. The website says that if the game runs past 10:50 the fireworks will not happen -- the game is a 7:35 start, so that leaves just 3:15. Probably half the major league games run that long. What a mess.

Aww, thanks for standing up for me. tongue.gif

Actually, I won't be there Friday night. I just need someone to amuse me for about five hours until my friend's boyfriend gets out of work at 4 P.M. He works right next to the Metro Center Station, so his location and mine are important to my plans for the day.
