Well this came as a total
surprise! Sounds like an impeachable offense if true, and the author stands by his story/claim....

Bush lies? There's a shocker

It is truly a sad thing when impeachment hearings were done for much less significant damage in the previous administration.
If only this could be proven, I would gladly support all military loved ones to file a civil suit against Bush and Cheney for the loss of their loved ones in a truly stupid war that will be a scar on our country forever.

The CIA or former CIA agents Suskind supposedly has on tape have already started to publicly back down from what they told him.
If what they say is true then "denial" now may get them immunity so they can whitewash Congress. assuming hearings are ever called to get them to testify. Do CIA agents have lifetime immunity?
At the very least this would constitute violating the laws made at the founding of the CIA to prevent it from becoming a political tool.
But is the voting public even listening? Does anyone who cares not believe Bush and Cheney lied.
This could be fun to watch. I'd like to think the climate here could get so hot, politically, that it wouldn't be safe for Bush to return here from the Olympics for fear of being arrested as soon as he stepped off Air Force I.
But do any of us believe that is going to happen?
Prepare for more waffling and political posturing. Unless Patrick Suskind is called before congress and forced to give everything he has to them, then congress pursues it, we're just seeing summer entertainment.

I don't know if I really want to know just how criminal this administration has been because it's just so sickening. It will just be more frustrating when they get off scott free. Bringing back dignity and integrity to the Oval Office my gay ass.
Froomkin laid this story out at length.

Eventually this administration will be accused of cutting down a tree and will respond "No one in this administration ever touched that cherry tree!"......whoops.

Given the river of lies gushing out of this corrupt, incompetent, lawless administration, is anyone really surprised by either this allegation in Pulitzer Prize-winner Suskind's book or the possibility that it's true?
I wish the "mainstream" media would ask a few more questions about the anthrax investigation debacle, such as who was involved in linking the anthrax mailings to Iraq? Why did McCain and Lieberman make this link on national TV back in October 2001? What was Donald Rumsfeld's role in all of this? Why didn't the FBI find any of this specific anthrax strain on anything belonging to Ivins? Why can't they definitively tie him to being in Princeton on the dates the letters were mailed? Why did they aggressively pursue and destroy the life of Dr. Stephen Hatfill even after, as they now claim, they had linked the anthrax strain to the flask in Ivins's lab? Who else in the lab might also be a suspect? Why are they closing the case so quickly?

Between this letter, the Valerie Plame case and that yellow cake fakery - all three of which seem to come together now like some near-perfect storm - you would think this could not get any worse.
But we still may not have heard the last of the anthrax situation. Murdering 4000+ USA troops for a lie might be misconstrued as a president's prerogative, but the attempted assassination of other politicians and silencing of the press would look a lot like the actions of a third-rate third-world dictator.
How many days is it until January 20, 2009?
Nevermind. Just wake me when it's over.

Suskind was on "Countdown" the other day, he has been everywhere, and said all of this, the lies, the forgeries etc. etc. etc. would come out after Bush is out of office. He envisioned congressional hearings and stuff, and again stood by his story.
