Taking Trevor's advice and creating a new thread just for this event, I will recap what I said in the "More DC Fun" thread:

Less than 2 weeks til the Outsports DC potluck! All axe murderers and even Republicans welcome! (okay, okay, we won't have the axe murderers - it would ruin the finish on the sofa).

And so far only about 4 responses, for about 5 - 6 people. So, if you still need directions, please email me (CPT_Doom@msn.com) although Trevor, GatorJamie and a few others have directions as well (I will be out of town from Thurs through Mon and won't be able to check email).

Hoping to see a lot of junk food and alcohol come through the door on the 14th - 'cause that may be the only way I'll be able to deal with an entire Redskins game (I'll be checking out the ten-minute ticker all day to see updates on the Pats game - although Phillyfan has offered to call in with updates).

As I mentioned earlier, I do have 2 TVs if there are two games on.

And, as posted earlier, since CPT said no heavy food (or so I thought), I will be baking cookies to bring!

BostonGirl and I will be there, but subdued - Spencer died today (see Non-sports-related thread).

So far we are looking at around 8 - 10 people, but I don't know how many people may have reported to GJ (sorry about Spencer, by the way) at the happy hour.

Bump-up-a-dump. I don't think that I know of anyone that CPT doesn't, so I'll bring enuf for 10 folks. We're skippin th chili but bringin the spinach dip sourdough bowl...

Thanks for a fun afternoon, CPT! Of course it helped that the Skins won, but it was even better to see it in good company. The homemade treats helped, too (yes, Trevor can bake ).

It was nice to meet Sean and his BF. They were really nice, and I hope we didn't scare them off.

GJ, your friends were great too! It was nice to see people I knew, like gamecock, GJ and Boston Girl, and meet some really nice new people.

I had a blast hosting the event, although how I am going to fit all the garbage in my little garbage can I don't know!

I have PLENTY of left over beer and snacks, so we need to do this again real soon (before everything gets stale ).

I had to miss the gameday festivities. My vid boss went into the hospital right before the weekend so things got a bit f**ed up for me hence I couldn't be there on Sunday.

If anyone is ever up for football viewing on Sundays, I'm all for it.

Glued to the set tonight to see if Parcells bitch slaps Shockey just for fun....

Like the rest of the group, I definitely had a blast on Sunday!....it is always much more fun watching football with a bunch of enthusiastic fans (dare I mention they were all gay and still knowledgeable about the game eek! ) than sitting at home or in a bar with a bunch of strangers.

Big thanks to Cpt Doom for hosting the festivities and it was great seeing Trevor, Shawn, and David again -- not to mention GatorJamie, Heather and their two hot friends wink ....but we still wanna know, CptD -- what are your neighbors gonna say after realizing that there were four FEMALES in your house for the better part of five hours yesterday?....I sure hope we didn't ruin your "reputation" as an upstanding member of our community.

Lookin forward to future Outsports get togethers already and if CptD ever needs some references as the supreme DC social host, he sure knows where to look.
