NEW YORK (Aug. 20) - There won't be much "livin' la vida loca" for Ricky Martin these days - he's now the father of twin boys.
The Latin superstar had the children via a surrogate mother, and the babies were born a few weeks ago, according to a statement from his representatives.
"The children, delivered via gestational surrogacy, are healthy and already under Ricky's full-time care," said the statement. "Ricky is elated to begin this new chapter in his life as a parent and will be spending the remainder of the year out of the public spotlight in order to spend time with his children."
A representative said there was no further information on the details of the children's birth.
Martin, 36, is a multiplatinum singer who is best known for English-language hits like "She Bangs!" and "Livin' la Vida Loca." In recent years, the Puerto Rican star has been active in charitable efforts, including the prevention of sexual exploitation of children.

I don't think Rick is really hiding anything about his sexuality at this point. We see photos of him on the beach with his boyfriend, we see him give speeches on protecting children and flame, we see him be coy using gender pronouns in regard to his relationship. Now he has kids with a surrogate. I think if he wanted to remain in the closet he would just adopt. "Single parent" surrogacy seems pretty gay to me, unless you are a chick and haven't found the right man yet. Is that sexist? Anyway, I think it'd be more scandalous to state whether he is a top or a bottom. I happen to know but I'll never say.

I always discounted the "Ricky Martin is gay" rumors because he has a pretty decent string of ex-girlfriends, unlilke, say, Kevin Spacey, who still brings his mother to the Oscars. However, this evidence puts me definitely into "he's gay" camp (all puns intended).

As for Vin Diesel, I have heard those rumors myself. Don't know if there is any evidence - other than the Prada purse that falls out of his mouth (think Mike Tyson) when he is not butching up his voice for a movie role.
