Full Version: Key Injuries

Now that we are 3 weeks into the preseason we already have a number of injuries that may affect the season of some teams. The Eagles lost Kevin Curtis due to a sports hernia, but he has had surgery and may be back a month into the season. Jason Taylor of the Redskins suffered a lesser injury with a spained knee that could keep him out for two weeks. The biggest blow though was dealt to the Giants as Pro Bowl DE Osi Umenyiora suffered a season ending injury with a meniscus tear he got during last night's pre-season game against the Jets. Meanwhile Shawn Merrimen of the Chargers has to decide whether to risk a career ending injury by playing with two torn ligaments in his left knee, if he elects not to get surgery. If I were him I would opt for the surgery now, why play with fate?

Osi you later! That is one hell of a tough break for the Giants especially given Strahan also retired. Could he possibly be lured back out of retirement? Me thinks not but stranger things have happened.

Oh, Michael, where art thou?

This is quite a blow, especially as winning teams do not perform well the second go around.

Since Strahan has so much to pay in alimony, he may well be back!
