I thought maybe this was the best way to talk about our favorite teams this season rather than individual threads for each team.

What's the deal with Vince Young? I remeber hearing that he said he considered retiring after his first season. Now there is this:

Something sounds kind of strange here. Seems like there is some kind of history to prompt his family to get the police involved.

Always had a weird vibe about Young - something sad really. Wsih the guy well.

On another subject I think the Colts may have been exposed. My only regret is that Marvin Harrison has so little support. Wonder how that issue with the confrontation at the bar he owned turned out. Seems the lawyers and agents have kept that one out of the news.

Some loyal fans comment.

The Houston Texans / Baltimore Ravens game has been rescheduled to Monday night (Sept. 15th). Due to the effects of Hurricane Ike.

And now the Texans-Ravens game has been postponed due to damage at Reliant Stadium. They should have moved the game to begin with-they could have played in Atlanta or Miami or San Antonio. How do they reschedule a game like this unless they both have the same bye week.

Updated to add that the Ravens and Texans do not have the same bye week.

An article at the Houston Chronicle website says: The Texans and Bengals have the same bye week (Oct. 26). The Ravens' bye week is Nov. 9. The Texans host the Bengals on Nov. 9. The Texans could host the Bengals on Oct. 26 and the Ravens on Nov. 9.

Yet annnnoooother disappointing season for the Texans.

I've never been too attached to the Texans like I was to the Oilers or am to the Rockets and Astros. But in year 7, I may not be able to handle this much suckitude.

There are other things I can do on Sundays that a re more worthwhile than the Texans... like sleeping.

OMG. The Texans had in the bag. Sage went from hero to goat all in one game.

I'm so dismayed.

Are these the Oilers redux?

A Mravin Harrison personal problem may have a greater impact on the Colts than any strategy Tony Dungy or Peyton Manning can come up with for their offense.

This whole thing is a bit weird. The linked article references a previous incident in which Harrison lost his temper - with or without provocation is unclear - that was settled and "disappeared" from the sports news radar. The guy has a wealth of good will inside and outside of sports from what I've heard, and my partner and I have become recent friends (though not close) of the mother of someone who works closely with him.

Everyone says he likes to keep a "low profile". But the fact that this hasn't been settled quickly suggests that could be threatened.

I just hope the guy is getting good legal advice and not just the most expensive.

But if this is going to affect his play, along with his recent injury, the Colts may be in for a long year.
