I thought maybe this was the best way to talk about our favorite teams this season rather than individual threads for each team.

The Panthers victory was sick and why I love the NFL!
Saints looked strong too. I lust Shockey, but the team was impressive.

I knew Detroit would not be very good this year, but I thought Atlanta would be worse even with Matt Ryan. So with the Falcons beating the Lions easily, perhaps Atlanta will surprise a few people this year.

I've liked Ryan since BC joined the ACC, despite the added competition for my Terps (who have hit the fan this year since they entered conference play). He looks like the kind of guy you could have a beer with (or two or three if you're lucky...and maybe get lucky) and shoot the bull in an old-fashioned New England pub.

Ryan's a local kid. He only went to college in Boston.

Yeah, he's from near Chester County isn't he? That's what first caught my eye reading about him. My family has a long history in that area.

I only saw the first quarter of the Saints blowout of the Packers but what a joy to watch. Drew Brees isn't just hot. The guy in motion is a work of art, total efficiency of motion. No wonder he's getting so much passing yardage.
The guy's earned the right to
look as goofy as he wants.
Hope they get that playoff spot just to see more of him in action.

Going to the game tonight! There seems to be a lot of excitement around Charlotte for this game. Hopefully the crowd will be able to be a factor for the Panthers, as we get slammed for that often.
Delhomme has to step up, Smith has to be more of a factor, and the Panthers have to get out to a quicker start than they have the last few games. Tough game...I can't wait to go.

Take your division Panthers, but don't lose sight of the real prize!
