I figured I might as well start it this season.
Vandy and SC are starting things off tonight. Vandy's off and running on the road; SC's sputtering and turning the ball over at home.

What a difference Smelley made for SC.

It's tough to know whether Clemson was that overrated or Alabama was that much improved. I suspect it was some of both. What a total thrashing. Their win was certainly the SEC's biggest victory of the weekend.
Worst moments: State's loss to La. Tech and Arkansas' scare with Western Illinois.

I sure was disappointed Ole Miss didn't get the W vs. Wake. And Miami stayed with the Gators for much longer than I expected. I guess we'll know by month's end who's going to lead the pack in the conference.

USC's loss tonight should make for a great game this weekend and next. Sat- #3 UGA vs #8 AL then next week #4 UF vs #5 LSU. ALL teams can move up with USC's loss so it might be number #3 vs #4 next week. Great showing for the SEC this year. IF both UGA and UF win it is gonna be a huge game in Jacksonville this year.

So did I give a double whammy jinx to UF and UGA? LOL

Yes... please continue. The road is much clearer if all SEC teams end up with 2 losses.

Could be a good possibility there..
A few weeks back, I thought the SEC was the premier conference bar none....
Now I'm re-thinking that and may be giving that to the Big 12....
Georgia is not as strong as I thought they'd be...a lot of injuries....
WTF is going on with Auburn???
Bama still looks strong, although they are young....
LSU showed they can be whooped...
UF has showed weaknesses, altho they looked great last night...
Vandy, altho vastly improved, is a mid-level bowl team at best...

I'm just thankful that Casey Dick's brother plays for the same team. If I heard the announcer say "C. Dick" one more time I think I would have reverted to my juvenile days lusting over comic books that the authors surely had no idea were opening a young boy's eyes to the fact he was gay.
That one time when Dick was sacked and the play-by-play commentator said "Dick was exposed!" I immediately decided I have to see as many Razorback games as I possibly can - win or lose.
It's just hilarious. The guy even had to giggle self-consciously himself after a 5 second time delay to realize what he'd just said. Too, too much!
