Anyone else watching this show? Produced by Alan Ball (6 Feet Under), and all about vampires...lots of hot guys on it, too...

I'd like to, but we gave up HBO in favor of Showtime.

For some strange reason, I am intrigued by vampires, so I watch the show.
I like the way vampires are portrayed and there are some hot guys, including Jason Stackhouse (Ryan Kwanten). Ryan Kwanten has a really hot body and we get to see much of it.
The show is actually very predictable, the acting is not very good, and the storylines or characters are very trite. I feel like the whole Louisiana/small town/blue-collar concept is way overdone.
However, I will keep watching because of the vampire theme and the hot guys.

read the books; I'm sure that they're much better than the series; I love them

The show is almost like David Mamet and David Lynch got together to make some soft bi-porn. It's odd but I've kept up. It's hard to beat a show that contains two of my favorite things; vampires and rednecks.
I thought the opening scene in episode 3 was hot. Who wouldn't want a hypnotized muscle boy in daisy dukes at your beck and call...lol. I liked how the skinny vampire scooped him up with one hand and threw him over his shoulder like a sack of dirty laundry on the way out the door
Does anyone else think the Sam is a werewolf and possibly the killer? He did call Sookie to ask if she would go by and wake up Dawn...

Sam is NOT a werewolf but that's all I'll tell
the actor playing him is younger than I had pictured him from the books
same thing with Bill
I hope they bring Bubba in as a character! LOL

This season seems as if it will be better than the first season.
I wouldn't be surprised if Jason ends up screwing the wife of the leader of the anti-vampire movement. Something has got to give in that whole storyline because it is getting boring.
What's up with Mary Ann, the mysterious character who seems to have some kind of powers, but we still don't quite know what they are?
Also, what's up with Tara's new love interest? That guy is very sexy. I remember him from Desperate Housewives.
I think the whole Jessica/Hoyt relationship will be a mini version of Sookie and Bill's relationship: Human + Vampire = Powerful Connection that can work, but has many obstacles.

I'm a little disappointed with the continuity of Season 2. Everyone's hair is different. The accents are not so heavy.
And lastly Bill shaved his chest.

One of the Eagles, Todd Herremans, made a comment about "True Blood" that has caused a bit of a stir. I blogged about it.
