I know the ACC is "down" this year but I think we are more than a basketball conference. Are there any other ACC Fans on here? Carolina grad (c/o '99)/season ticket here who was pumped about the big comeback win yesterday against Miami. I welcome comments/thoughts...

My thoughts on the season thus far:

Wake: Probably the best team in the Atlantic but a very disappointing loss to Navy yesterday. Still think they'll win this side of the ACC.
Clemson: Complete disarray and I think Bowden will(and should) be gone. National Championship expectations and only .500 at this time.
MD/Fla. State: Very surprised by their performances thus far.
BC: Haven't really seen much of them..
NC State: The Pack are AWFUL and I'm glad to see it.....ha ha.

Va Tech: The luckiest S.O.B.'s in the league
UNC: Very happy to be 3-1 and should've beat VT last week. Still some concern about losing Yates but Sexton looked great yesterday.
GT: Paul Johnson has the Jackets looking pretty good. They should've beaten VT as well.
Dook: Hate they are winning but Cutcliffe has them believing.
UVA: Groh should be fired....getting whooped by Dook? Really?
Miami: Swagger still not back for Canes.

UCONN @ UNC is an interesting matchup.


UCONN is undefeated and UNC is a FG away from being undefeated.

and having beaten two (at the time) top 25 teams, Maryland is still not ranked. They deserve to be ranked now before their season collapses

As a MD graduate living in College Park, I had MD going 5-7 and the Redskins going 5-11 this year.

After Maryland's collapse at UVA of all places...not sure how many more game the Twerps will win. My HEELS keep winning....that loss to VaTech may loom large.

Watching Wake/Clemson game now and Clemson is AWFUL! Bowden needs to be fired before the season is over.

I agree, they should get an interim coach in there pronto and start working the phones. Maybe go for another guy named Tommy who coaches Tigers...

Looks like Tommy Bowden has stepped down as coach at Clemson.
I figured it was just a matter of time, because Clemson has underacheived for so many years, and this year is shaping up to be another typical Clemson year....
(They remind me a lot of Michigan State in that regard....Probably why I'm a fan of their's, too...)

The ACC race is a mess....It's still anybody's game(minus the wusspack and dook). My 'Heels need to win out and hope for a VT loss (hopefully on Thursday night at Miami). With UNC being good in football, this makes me wish basketball was a few more weeks away. Between Tyler and the boys and now football....I'll have no outside life..
