Okay, so these are the proposed games (not counting the Christmas Eve game):
Sept. 25 Raiders 1 p.m.
Nov. 14 Cowboys 9 p.m.
Nov. 27 Packers 4:15 p.m.
Dec. 11 Giants 4:05 p.m.
We can choose among them and have one game with as many Outsporters as possible, or we can have groups going to whichever game they want. Obviously the weekend PF picks to make the trip back would be the big weekend shindig as it was last year, but I can see myself going to more than one game. For example, if PF comes in for the Dallas game and Cyd can't make it that night but can make it for the Packers game.
We'll need to resolve this so we can figure out how many tickets we need and for how many games, and how many callers we need to get them. If I recall, the limit last year was 2 games (4 tickets per game). So if there are more than 4 of us going to a game, or if there are more than 2 games, we'll need multiple callers to Ticketmaster.
So I guess we can start with: which game or games are you DEFINITELY in for?

GVF and MM need to hash this one out...
I want GVF there.
I want to see who this MM character is....
Plus i need to see some hot lesbo action from DC.
and this time i will make sure the True American Patriot makes it up from DC.
then again we could make MD choose and make him the bad guy if someone cant make it.
Or we can all say screw it and have a Tally HO HO HO xmas in the desert..... Tailgate with turkey and ham? Plus a lil ying-a-ling brought via a plane ride...

I know I can't make the Green Bay or Dallas games. I can definitely do the Giants game. I might be able to make the Raiders game, although the matchup just doesn't appeal to me very much.

Remember, Randy Moss is a Raider now. wink
Speaking with phillyrunner today he liked the Raiders game best, because it's in September (and therefore warmer), and since the Raiders aren't a big rival it might be easier to get tickets and possibly get them closer together. The weather factor appeals to me as well. wink
What say you, PF? Do you want to bring the sting to see his old Viking pal Moss?
(MM: Even if PF chooses the Raiders game or some other one to make his annual trip east, I don't see why some of us locally couldn't go to the Giants game as well.)

I'd do the Raiders game. But, I'd probably have to cheer for Moss (which I'm sure you'd all love, since the Eagles would then destroy the Raiders)
I'm looking forward to it!

Ummmm, I'm not quite sure. As I said before, i'll do any game.. no biggy to me. You folks will have to hit up the sting and ask him.
However, you guys live on the east coast.. you're supposed to LOVE football in the cold..
My only point about a Giants or pokes game would be that they are division rivals and all.. so..
But just hand me a beer, they could be playing the niners for all i care.

Apr 18 2005, 09:45 AM
I'd maybe be up for the Raiders/Eagles game. I would cheer for Moss. Could I wear my Moss Vikings jersey?
I'll have to check that weekend to see if I have anything else planned yet, and will have to check to see what else I have planned around that time.

Football or no football, I hate the cold.
Hate hate hate HATE. wink
But you're the one (or ones, if sting comes along) doing the traveling, so as I see it, you should decide which game fits your situation best and those of us who can join you will do so. As I said in my other post, I (for one) can go to more than one game so if others want to see a particular game outside the one you come to town for, that's fine. So make up your damn mind already. wink

We will have to have a Formal-round-table discussion to find the best game and time which fits into everyone's schedule.
You know that game down in DC usually turns into a Eagles home game too... that one could be cool.
I'm also fairly sure some raider idiots will try and get in the stadium to misbehave... which will be fun to see.. because we all know what will happen to them.

Okay, well, some people have mentioned their preferred game...I'm sure you want your favorite lesbian couple to participate, but I think they're still on vacation...anyone else who might be interested should chime in on this. But while others have a shorter, less costly trip, I still think you should state your preferred game and let the rest of us try and work around that. Just my opinion. But everyone else, let's hear from you...

My first choice would be the Raiders followed by the Giants game. The Cowboys and the Packers games don't work with my schedule. I guess my vote would be for the Raiders game. I could root for the Raiders in that game. I could never cheer for the Giants and would have a hard time talking myself into making a trip to see that game.
But, I'm not the Eagles fan. Other people need to chime in about which one they want to see.

I choose any game where they will be selling beer.... Appletinis will be brought from DC, and a nice steak (whiz it) will be served.
Which pretty much means anygame, unless GVF drinks all of da beer.
I must say i am a bit shocked about ya'all not liking cold weather games, i mean, you DO live on the east coast right? Bunch of PU.. nevermind.

Raiders, Pokes or Gints work for me. Raiders work best just on timing right after a work deadline like last year's Vikes game. Packers - nope, can't do that one.

Well... Why dont we do the game in Washington on Nov 6th? By that time of year the 4-skins are already out of it, and it will be the 9th homegame of the year for the birds. Plus, it's a national game....
And it also gives 2 hot hottie babes time to get that monday off from work, cook us dinner, chill the beers, and clean my frickin house for me.
As a MAN, i'll take out the garbage.
It's also close enough for GVF and MM to make it down.
Also, gives a great opportunity for me to chill with a true american patriot and hunt down that Captian of the doom...

Well, the travel from NY to DC is a little more than the travel from NY to Phila. Plus, there'd be logistics to work out -- like, isn't FedEx field out in the middle of nowhere? Depending on how many we have going to the game, I assume we'd need a vehicle or two. Also, how easy is it to get tickets?
Plus, we still need to get Cyd to a game at the Linc.

The House That Danny Built is in the middle of nowhere but there is a shuttle to Metro. AND there are accommodations available at Chez Lesbo.
Tickets shouldn't be tough to get (for the reasons that PF stated). Whichever game you wanna go to is fine. I'll very likely go to this one no matter what.
Even if I have to go alone. Solo. Slurping an adult beverage

Actually JIP, I think most of us know eachother well enough that we can all split a hotel, so long as lil sting promises to keep his hands to himself (for once).
GVF, they have the ying-ling down in DC too, so no excuses.
Then again if this doesnt work... everyone should list their availability.... and a game shall be chosen.

If you don't mind the burbs, Chez Lesbo is free. We could put up JiP, PF, tranny-boy, GVF, the Philly crew.
Edited to add: This will be after the Marine Corps Marathon, so training won't get in the way of drinking.

Based on that, we all might just end up in Cancun for the game, might seem like a good idea at the time.

Hey Joe,
I was asking for professional athletes email addresses and I am actually doing the pro athletes favors.
First of all the website gets 350,000 viewers a month and that might inspire the athletes to do an interview. If not, well, then I am also work sometimes with Iron Man Magazine and I can get them in there. So I basically would like to bring athletes to the site, as a personal accomplishment for myself, to inspire others reading the interviews and to promote themselves. I'm not saying that it is going to happen or anything, but anything is possible as long as I attempt and that is why I am trying. I hope I get "lucky" and a pro NFL player, Olympian is interested.
And I also understand the "confidental issue" so I will compromise if someone doesn't want to break it and they themselves can interview the professional athletes, olympians etc, and email me their interviews at btatar@criticalbench.com and we will publish it and enjoy the extra support for the web.
As for the Raiders and the superbowl, wow, yeah, lol, I don't think that will happen this year. I think it might be the Patriots again, but then again before the year of 99 who thought the Titans and the Rams would play in the superbowl?
