Adam
promises a "sexy" performance 4 tonight's AMA. We'll see...
Adam also promises to wear 'amazing wardrobe.' Uh ooohhh, gulp!

It was posted to YouTube. The vocals were not his best, and the whole thing was wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy over-the-top. Too over-the-top to be sexy.

So I watched Adam's performance this morn. Yeah it was way over the top! I think the 2 problems I had w/ it was that the music seemed "turned down" while Adam's voice was "turned up." Also, he was singing a pop song but then would go into his usual rock screeches here & there.

Adam's performance has
upset some people.

Adam's performance, at least musically, wasn't much different from his Idol schtick. It was essentially what kept me from jumping on the Lambert bandwagon when everyone was creaming their briefs going on about his "talent."

You're right about his Idol schtick MM. But I didn't mind his screeching when it was a rock song (eg "Whole Lotta Love") but a pop song? It just doesn't work.

Adam Lambert
dumped by Good Morning America... but picked up by CBS morning show.

Like the crack Lambert makes about how useful his
shoulder padding can be.
I had to watch
this video of Lambert's recovery from a stumble during the live AMA broadcast twice to be sure it was an accident and not deliberate.
That kind of recovery shows pretty good showmanship. But it's also symbolic of his recovery from the ABC cancellation to show up on CBS, albeit with a tamer performance.

I have to agree w/
Adam's community double standard assessment when it comes to "adult material" on the AMA (& tv in general). I think he's handled this controversy well. & I'm glad he hasn't apologized (fingers crossed) for his "racy" AMA performance. I also loved his comeback when he stated (I'm paraphrasing), "I came on last @ 11pm. Children should be in bed asleep by then. Plus, I'm a performer not a babysitter."

If kids ask questions after seeing that performance then it's obviously time for their parents to have "that talk" with them. And the conversation could now be more "inclusive".
If the kids don't ask questions then the parents - or guardians - might ask themselves a few.
So basically this could be one of those "teachable moment" that folks are so fond of lately.

Anger as 'GMA' books Brown. The nerve of GMA!

ABC has booked Rihanna-beater Chris Brown for an interview and a performance on "Good Morning America" -- right after the network canceled guy-kisser Adam Lambert.

Adam gives an
interview & talks about his recording, AMA, The View, Elizabeth Hasselbitch, etc... It's done in "parts" so you'll have to watch several videos.

Well maybe if Adam knew how to stick to a script he wouldn't have to be worrying about these issues. Nowhere do I hear him mention that his live performance was not the same as the rehearsal he gave. These television stations are worried about FCC fines so at the end of the day its more about money (as it usually is) than anything else and I can't say I blame them one bit.

Well his buddy Kris Allen doesn't have a problem with Lambert's antics. In fact he says he wants to get a shirt that says
"That's Adam"Wonder if he'll wear it to bed with his wife.

Not one, but two American Idol alumni will be in the
new cast of Hair on Broadway (the original cast is leaving to open the show in London). Ace Young will play Berger and Diana DeGarmo will play Sheila.

When they're not on Broadway, American Idol alumni are in the middle of earthquakes. CNN
video: Elliott Yamin reports from Chile.

Apparently Elliott is in rather
dire straits in Chile. He's running out of insulin, and amidst the chaos, apparently can't obtain any more. Yikes, I hope he's OK.

Here's your chance to see American Idols in the buff. Apparently, both Ace Young and Diana DeGarmo appear nude in the musical
Hair on Broadway. Ace plays Berger... and it looks like he's been working out those abs:

Edit to add: Ace Young
interviewed about his role in Hair, with clips from the show (and some booty, too

).

In the clip when he introduces a woman in the front row as his mom, is that his real-life mom? And if so, does it look to anyone else like he's almost grabbing her breast?
