Five years later...I'm not sure I'm buying it.

Yeah, all the women (except Gaby) look the same age. I mean even Mrs. McCluskey!! At least the gay couple did not age either!! LOL! (did they even have any lines of dialogue?).

No, they just got to sit on their porch and whip out the cell phone to take a picture of Susan's whatever-he-is, since she won't let him be her boyfriend because of some rationale that makes no sense whatsoever.

And Edie just waltzed back in with her psycho husband. No build-up, no development, she's just back, right in the first episode.
Where's Lynette's oldest son? Where's their youngest, their daughter (not the bitchy little step)?
Meh.
The 5-year thing certainly qualifies as "jumping the shark" if you ask me.
But seeing Gale Harold shirtless makes it all worthwhile for me. The guy's got 0% body fat (the bastard!).

It looks like they are going to try to put Mike and Susan back together. Another episode without the gay couple! I am confused about Lynette and Tom's kids. I thought they had a boy, then the twins then their daughter, but it looks like the non twin boy is now younger than the twins!

THE FOLLOWING MAY BE KIND OF SPOILERISH THOUGH IT'S REALLY JUST THEORY ON MY PART
I'm really likng the flsah forward so far. As for the big mystery with Edie's husband Dave and who he has a vendetta aginst. At first I though he might turn out to be the husband of the woman killed in Mike and Susan's car accident. But then I heard his last name is Williams and that was also the last name of Bree's stalker/pharmacist George.

Good catch. That plotline would be so much better than if he's the car-wreck victim's husband.

I saw the premiere and stopped watching the show forever. Thanks for the updates.

For the first time, I like the show. Since the premiere this year, five years forward, I've seen all three episodes and finally found some escape value and entertainment in the show. Even with the addition of Dana Delany last year, who I loved on China Beach, it was just okay for me. Now it's less melodrama and more character drama/hysteria. And a mousey Longoria is far more palatable than the material she used to splooge through..

Gale Harold is in critical condition after a motorcycle accident on Tuesday. From TV Guide online:
QUOTE
Desperate Housewives newcomer Gale Harold is in critical condition and awaiting further tests after being hospitalized with injuries incurred in a Tuesday motorcycle accident, a spokeswoman for USC Medical Center tells the AP.
"We can confirm that Gale Harold was in a motorcycle accident," the Queer as Folk alum's publicist tells TVGuide.com. "He has fractured his shoulder and is under observation to assess any possible further injuries."
In a statement, the producers of Housewives say, "Gale is part of [our] family, and our thoughts and wishes are with him for a speedy recovery." According to setsiders, Harold's hospitalization is not expected to interrupt production.
Though original reports and statements suggested that Harold's primary injury was done to a shoulder, sources tell TVGuide.com that the actor also suffered a head injury. In fact, Housewives creator Marc Cherry told the AP that Harold apparently has swelling on the brain, but is expected to recover.
Harold was due on the ABC series' set before getting into the accident. No one else was injured in the crash.

Last night: best episode of the year, easily. All of the flashbacks to what happened during the 5-year skip, and the converging at the party...just brilliantly executed.

I thought last night's tribute to Edie was touching - I will really miss her on the show. I also thought the grown-up Travers (Edie's son) was quite hot- reminded me of Shia LeBeaouf. It also seems when Karen McCluskey is in an episode - she makes it that much more memorable.

I can't help but think that not having Edie around will end up being a huge mistake.
And I thought that kid looked like Shia LaBeouf too...which reminded me of the Simpsons episode where Homer put on a toupee when Lisa was making a family documentary for school: "I’m going for the Shia LaBeouf thing. Not quite a nerd, not quite a hunk...Shia LaBeouf!"

Lord have mercy....John Barrowman is on Desperate Housewives tonight. I'm so happy cuz I hadn't really been keeping up with the show. But, seeing that sexy Brit on the show certainly has me interested now. He's so handsome. So glad he's on our team.

Oh yeahhh!!! This is great news!! I love Vanessa Williams and if she's bringing any "Betty" bitchiness to the show, I will definitely watch next season in its entirety. I was back and forth this season and missed most of it, but the finale was pretty good.

I thought it was an entertaining season with some good creepy characters- Bree's business partner/husband's son and the mass murderer kid- he was great.
