Screw Thomas Homstrom and the officials who don't penalize his illegal antics. Of course, as a defender, you can't even *think* about touching him without a penalty being called.

I have no problem with someone wanting to play in front of the net (as long as they aren't interfering with the goalie) but there should be a physical price to pay. Unfortunately the NHL doesn't like physical play.

That price has been paid over and over again.Holmstrom probably has as many, if not more bruises and gashes on his body from opposing players.

Eddie, I would say you got your wish. Hawks are a good hockey club, but they were outplayed for the majority of this game. Red Wings are just so deep and so talented. I do hope for Chicagos' sake the Hawks at least make a good run in the playoffs. I enjoyed watching this game today.

X 2....
Hawks are playing really well this year (finally!), but they are just not in Detroit's league yet....
Funny how last year, they couldn't lose to them, and this year, even tho they are playing much better, they can't beat 'em...

Despite a Stanley Cup, it looks like none of the Red Wings are very popular as far as the All-Star selections are going.
Joe in Philly
Montreal fans stuffed the ballot box, electronically speaking, for their players, rendering the game even more of a joke than it is. Alex Ovechkin not being a starter is wrong. The West voted for 3 Ducks and 3 Blackhawks. Maybe some special campaigning there, too.

The Red Wings announced signing Henrik Zetterberg to a 12 year, $72 million dollar contract. Wow!

Wings finally took over the total points lead from San Jose!
