She passed away late Sunday night. So sad especially so close to the election.

I am so glad Barack got to spend some time with her recently. How tragic that this happened now. She will be watching Barack though. May she rest in peace.

Wow...no time is ever a good time for someone to die but on the eve of the election is just so horrible. I was really hoping she would hang on to see this moment.

Very sad.

The Obama campaign's Nevada state director died yesterday of a heart attack at 44 too.

That's just plain tragic. To not live to see the child she helped grow into the excellent man that he is....on the eve of possibly the pinacle of her work and her life's values passed on. <sigh> Yes, she will be watching...

I have come to realize that no matter how old you are, you still want your parents (his mom and dad are gone) to be proud of you. So he won't get to see that proud face in this life.

Very sad news.

I heard something this morning that was moving to hear, she had already mailed in her absentee ballot, so she may not be able to see him win the election, but she was able to cast her ballot for her grandson.

Chill

I beleive she was able to see him win. A columnist said it best last night, when he (or she, I don't remember) said that his "toot" was the angel on his shoulder last night.

His mother, father, grandmother and grandfather must have had one heck of a party last night!! And yes, I do beleive that!!!!!
