I was looking for responses to the season finale of Top Design and did not see a thread? Did any of you guys watch the season? I was a little surprised at the winner. That kid Eddie was such an obnoxious kid during the season and Preston was amazing (and total eye candy)

Oh ... I thought this was a fantasy exercise for bottoms. cool.gif

Preston was a total visual delight and the only reason I kept watching (although I wished he had switched away from V-neck sweaters after a while.) I can't put my finger on it, but Top Design doesn't hold nearly as much interest for me as Top Chef and Project Runway.

If 'Top Design' was a bit more popular, Eddie would be the next Jonny Fairplay. Repulsive.

Have to agree with you, Eric. Show really didn't hold me like others altho the TD judges (2 out of 3 anyway) are complete whack jobs.

Oh man that Eddie guy was a douche. Ostracizes Preston because he doesn't fit into Eddie's version of gay which is flamboyant, queeny, bitchy and silly. And he sounded like Jan Brady with his 'Martha, Martha, Martha' mantra.

How about Wisit (sp?), the Asian guy who also wanted to be an opera singer?

IMO, the reason the show the show isn't as good as the others is that you don't get to see enough of the creative process. Also the challenges are so random. And those judges, especially those two women...yikes!

I could never live in a house Nathan designed. But Preston and even Ondine's were definitely more my style.

Eddie ranks up there as the biggest a-hole ever in reality TV. What an arrogant, condescending jerk. I hate catty, bitchy queens like that.

If you ask me, the only reason Eddie didn't like Preston was because he was jealous. How could someone not like Preston? He is very talented and oh so easy on the eyes, plus he seems like a great guy.

This isn't my favorite Bravo show, though I do think Top Design improved significantly in season two vs. season one. It seemed like the overall talent level was higher this time around and the challenges were more interesting. I really like Jonathan Adler. Plus, watching Jeff Lewis tell Eddie that his room looked like it was meant for old ladies with walkers, IV drips and bedpans made the whole season worthwhile.

Now can we please talk about my new favorite show, Tabitha's Salon Takeover?!? I didn't like Tabitha when she was on Shear Genius, but she really found her niche in that new salon takeover show. Love it!

Jeff Lewis needs to be a judge on American Idol. I loved the two TD episodes he was in ... Eddie indeed was an obnoxious beeyotch, Nathan was talented but my goodness his quasi-faux-almost-british accent was getting on my nerves, and Preston was robbed.
