This is too funny, McBush tried to shove down our throats how awesome and wonderful Caribou Barbie was, but.... McCain: I can't promise to support Palin for president

And as he was telling us how great and wonderful and terrific and whatever she was, there's this tidbit in the article regarding if he'd support her in the future.

"I can't say something like that. We've got some great other young governors.

Really Grandpa Simpson? Then why did you choose her in the first place? Oh that's right, you wanted to be the guy with a female VP.

And actually the funniest part of the article......

QUOTE
McCain said he has "the greatest appreciation for Gov. Palin and her family, and it was a great joy to know them."

WAS?!?!?!? I guess we won't be seeing Cindy McTrophy Wife holding little Trig with all the sincerity she had so much so during the RNC anymore.

I have to disagree with you on this one Penn. The history we forget we are doomed to repeat. Chill-Trick's post may have been comico-serious, but the point is well-taken: John McCain appears to have been insincere in suggesting that she was the best candidate for president or vice president.

It appears that he considers himself too old and too insulated to suffer the consequences, in his personal life, for making such a bad decision; and doesn't care about the potential tragic consequences that might have accrued from leaving the country with such risky leadership should he not have been able to serve.

I'd like to know when the wedding of her daughter will take place...soon, like before the baby is born, I hope! I'm willing to bet Levi would look smashing in a tux.

OMG, thank you!

The only thing worse than a sore loser is a sore winner, and do we have those in abundance around here......

PennState and MM...can you do me a favor and call (or email of course) every single media source that reported the story that I simply relayed and tell them to let it go?

don't shoot the messenger. I wasn't the one who brought up and old issue, I was the one who brought up a CURRENT news story.

2008, John Kerry endorsed Obama not John Edwards.

2004, Al Gore endorsed Howard Dean not Joe Lieberman.

Family Values Alert! Family Values Alert! Bristol Palin's future mother-in-law has been arrested on drug charges just two days before Bristol is set to give birth. According to the Anchorage Daily News:

Wasilla resident Sherry Johnston, 42, was arrested Thursday at her home by Alaska State Troopers with a search warrant in an undercover drug investigation. Johnston was charged with six felony counts of misconduct involving a controlled substance. Johnston is the mother of Levi Johnston, the Wasilla 18-year-old who received international attention in September when Gov. Sarah Palin and her husband, Todd, announced their teenage daughter was pregnant and he was the father. Bristol Palin, 18, is due on Saturday, according to a recent interview with the governor's father, Chuck Heath.

I'll jump in the hot baby daddy's defense here....if it was that Bristol herself got arrested, or another member of the Palin family, we could be calling them out for their family values shit...but we really don't know about Levi and his family, we don't know if she is a huge "I have family values and I'm better than you" mentality...so we shoud hold off on that.

Unless of course it comes out that she's a huge religious nut who has promoted anti-drug stuff...then I say have at her LOL

More Palin trouble.... The Anchorage Daily News is reporting today that Alaska State Troopers are alleging political meddling in the Sherry Johnston (mother of Levi) drug case, including a delay in serving the search warrant because of the November election. A state of Alaska drug investigator said that after it became clear who Johnston was, "this case became anything but normal," and that officers were instructed by members of the Palin administration to delay the search warrant until after the election.

Big surprise.
