Hey all, my partner and I started cycling in earnest a few months ago, riding about 20 miles an outing 4 days a week. Tarrant country has a great network of trails and we are looking to start checking out the trails in Dallas County and the surrounding areas. We took part in the Tour D'Ialia yesterday, going about 35 miles (the course was supposed to be 30 miles but our odometers tell us it was not so!
After checking online and asking word of mouth, nobody we know is aware of any sort of gay cycling group in the area and we thought we would check here to see if there are any other folks out there that might want to join us from time to time. Nothing too agressive and we stick to paved and semi paved trails....no "mountain biking trails".

I know of gay cycling clubs in NY and Boston, and I think theres one in SF and another in San Diego; but there is no broad supportive body for gay cycling that I know of.

If all else fails - how about a cycling vacation?

I will look into the Dallas cycle club myself. I work not far from the White Rock Lake trail.

I am a member of Greater Dallas Bicyclists because I could not find a gay bicycling club in the Dallas area. Most of my friends are straight anyway. I can be pretty aggressive with my riding but I wouldn't mind a recovery ride with you guys. I live in the West Lake Highlands area (Skillman and Royal) and just ride down to WRL a couple of days a week.
