They apologize for their apology.

Is this new, or has it just been there lurking all along?

There are many Republicans who I am sure are saddened if not disgusted with this. And I hope they are letting their voices be heard among the chatter.

The RNC is going to have a real big problem reaching out to us "negroes" rolleyes.gif if they continue to produce this kind of garbage. I tell ya...I know that there are black Republicans who identify themselves that way because they are socially and fiscally conservative and believe in free enterprise and small government and are against gay marriage and against abortion etc etc but for the life of me I can't see how a black person could actually register as a Republican. This is the kind of foolishness that will continue to keep minorities away from them. Barack the Magic Negro? F*ck you...f*ckin pricks!! Not surprised at this at all. Someone else posted earlier this year that at the RNC convention in Texas they had buttons that said something like "So if Barack wins will we have to call it the Black House?". Just real ignorant statements from people who think that they own the country and who clearly have thoughts of being superior.
And as predicted, the RNC rushed to try to find one of the few black Republicans to actually defend the song. Ugh...bunch of a**holes.

Edited to add: Ok wait. I didn't read the link that you posted sportinlife. I just assumed it was more foolishness from the song. So ok....I again had an Elle Woods "I'm sorry I just hallucinated...what?!!" moment!! Soooo......they apologize to "negroes" and then apologize for not capitalizing negro. Ummmmm....how about the fact that it shows just how in the dark ages they still are by using the word NEGRO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jim Crow is over yall!!! rolleyes.gif Ugh....my gawd!!! Will someone please save these idiots from themselves.

What I find so sad is how many people still see nothing wrong with using the "n" word, and you all know damn good and well I am not talking about the word Negro. It is 2009, an African-American is set to assume the highest position in the land, yet we still have throngs of knuckle-draggers who are too thick or stupid to realize their social faux pas. Unbelieveable. Maybe Barack will turn around all these Archie Bunkers. One can only pray.

You know, this "Magic Negro" business, is really a Godsend to Democrats, those at the center, the libs, and those to the left. What carefully thinking Republicans, or those leaning right, are not repulsed by this so called 'parody' topic developing within their ranks. All the better that the Limbaugh worshipers are a shrinking segment of the American politic.

"Magic Negro"? Utterly, most crudely crass. But look for Ann Coulter to defend it.

Annie, my sweet?

It appears the Huffington Post column is a parody -- pretty close to the mark, though, hunh?

You're right:

These quotes are simply unbelievable:

Meanwhile, Politico is suggesting that the flap might actually help Saltsman in his bid for the RNC's top job, since it has prompted some members to rally around the embattled former Tennessee GOP leader.

Mike Duncan, the current RNC chair who is seeking another term, was an early critic of Saltsman, a move that one committee member derided, suggesting it amounted to "pandering to the national press." By contrast, candidate and former Ohio Secretary of State Ken Blackwell has reportedly been contacted by at least 12 uncommitted members thanking him for supporting Saltsman instead of "throwing a good Republican under the bus."

The flap certainly put Saltsman's name on members' lips, and Republicans have traditionally been sympathetic to the argument that a biased national media are the real culprits in controversies like this.

“Chip probably could have thought it through a bit more, but he was doing everyone a favor by giving us a gift," Alabama Republican committeeman Paul Reynolds told Politico. "This is just people looking for something to make an issue of.

un-f**king-real! mad.gif

And this is not surprising:

QUOTE
RNC candidate Chip Saltsman's Christmas greeting to committee members includes a music CD with lyrics from a song called "Barack the Magic Negro," first played on Rush Limbaugh's popular radio show.

What Would Puff Say?

Some sound advice from "Paradise" for the GOP, in case anyone in the party is listening, or reading.

And look what ended up on Fox News on New Years Eve.

I'm shocked. Shocked I tells ya. not.

Did they choose anyone yet? Was it Steele or that total nutcase Ken Blackwell, or Mr. "Magic Negro" promoter from Tennessee, or the buffoon who currently has the job?

Steele is pretty easy on the eyes. It's his politics I have an issue with.
