One of my pastimes is looking through old photo albums and pictures from days gone by. There is a fantastic website devoted to American photography from the mid-nineteenth to the mid-twentieth centuries, http://www.shorpy.com. It is a great pastiche of American life.

My basketball idol growing up was "Pistol" Pete Maravich.
