Considering that Lincoln has been on the minds/lips of many Americans, especially our Commander in Chief, I thought I'd give a heads up about this exhibit @ the Huntington Library in San Marino, CA (a wealthy enclave just outside of LA/Pasadena). Several years ago they had a similar exhibit & it was quite fascinating to say the least. I especially enjoyed the documents written by him, including his days as a lawyer. One truly sees/reads the brilliant mind of Abe firsthand. For history buffs it certainly is a must see & one not to miss. And the grounds/mansion/variety of gardens @ the Huntington are also worth the visit if you've never been.

Sounds very interesting....
My sister lives fairly close to that, so maybe I should go out there for a visit...

Yeah I've made my "phone calls" & should be getting 2 passes for it.

Also, if you're interested they have high tea @ the Huntington, which makes the excursion much more pleasurable.

This year is the 200th anniversary of Lincoln's birth, which is why we'll be seeing lots of Lincoln-related exhibits, books, programs, etc.
SCTrojan
Yeah I know, but their permanent collection on Lincoln is one of the best in the country. Plus, the facilities & grounds @ the Huntington do make it that more special.

So I was able to get 3 passes for the exhibit. I wanted to offer anyone here the extra txt free. Send me a pm if you're interested. wink.gif
