I have a very large CD collection and I realized there are some CDs that I never grow tired of. For instance, I have been a fan of "Journey" since their debut and I think their CD "Frontiers" is one of my all time faves.
How about the rest of you guys? Do you have a CD or recording that you never get tired of?

Gosh Eddie, like you I have a HUGE collection. Most everything I own I really love. I go through my phases w/ ea one. But some off the top of my head:
1. Rattle & Hum, U2
2. The Joshua Tree, U2
3. Anything by: The Smiths/Morrissey
4. Anything by: Depeche Mode (they're my all-time favs)
5. Anything by: Sade
6. Jagged Little Pill, Alanis Morisette
7. The Best of the Doors, The Doors
8. Toward the Within, Dead Can Dance
There are probably more, but that gives you a clue.

I've bought this CD at least 10 times. It is there for me during those times where food and alcohol can't completely fill the void.

I am a major music listener and I have a lot of stuff, but from the top of my head I would say
Hejira by Joni Mitchell. I went through a period in my life that one could call a "dark night of the soul" which lasted about five years and that is the record I kept gravitating to as my companion. Lots of books were my friends through that time as well, but this is not the thread...

Edited to add: My partner's choice is
Diva by Annie Lennox

I would also add:
9. Once Upon A Time,
Siouxsie & the Banshees...
But out of the above list I would have to say that Joshua Tree by
U2 is probably #1.

Clearly MiamiSpartan, SC Trojan and I are on the same wavelength. In addition to their selections of Jagged Little Pill, the Joshua Tree, the Carpenters Greatest and In My Tribe, I would add:
Ten Pearl Jam
Suzanne Vega Suzanne Vega
Fear Toad the Wet Sprocket

That's quite all right Maddog because I have several faves too. I also like a wide variety of music such as rock, jazz,R&B, easy listening/contemporary, opera (mostly Italian), many of the broadway musical/show tunes, some country music as well. I have also been listening to an older Jimmie Vaughan (Stevie Ray's little brother) CD quite a bit lately. It's called "Strange Pleasure" and it is excellent!

W/ many music lovers here, one fav is nearly impossible, imho.
...But that's why I later noted The Joshua Tree.

...very tricky just to name one.
Anything live by Depeche Mode...just always good memories when I hear them.
Fez by Trashcan Sinatras...one of the most underrated bands in the universe.
Anything by The Smiths, but especially The Queen Is Dead...I Know It's Over is an amazing song that reminds me of my best friend.
