Full Version: Sanchez v Stevenson

Diego Sanchez has reportedly dropped 40 lbs since December to fight in the UFC lightweight division. Spike TV will have the fight live on Saturday night when he faces Joe Stevenson. In my opinion, Sanchez will more than have his hands full and has alot at stake if he loses given his recents losses at 170. Unless he can just overwhelm Stevenson with size like GSP did with BJ Penn, I'm going with Stevenson.

I like Sanchez - his fight with Karo Parysian a few years back was awesome - but he's going to be surprised Saturday night when Stevenson submits him.

As I was making my picks for this fight I was thinking about the ton of lbs that Sanchez has dropped since TUF. I agree that such a weight change has to be detrimental for Sanchez. I still find if hard to see Stevenson win this one but it is very possible. I ended up picking Sanchez. We'll see how it goes.
