Now I know where Octomom got her ideas. I just discovered Jon & Kate Plus 8, a reality show about the life of the Gosselin family. They had twins and then sextuplets... 8 kids in total. Such a cute family!

Oh boy, the tirades will be starting any moment now. I do think there is another thread about them somewhere around here. Obviously, alot of people think they are exploiting their children. Or that she verbally abuses her husband. I liked them alot more before all the free stuff they got including a hair transplant for Jon. But there's no denying all those kids are adorable.

He got a hair transplant? I only just started watching this show (it's in its 4th season). Do either of them have an outside job, or are they both full-time parents?

I also like the Roloff family in Little People, Big World.

She got a free tummy tuck -- which may have been medically warranted -- but this past season, Jon did get a hair transplant free of charge. Much of the show's activities are the results of freebies -- the piano, the ski trip, the trip to NCarolina. At least they are open about it.

8 kids... all likely to go to college... so i can understand why this couple decided to go public and be paid for it.
they are actually very well grounded young parents. they're in their early 30's... the kids will turn out OK the least I think. but the most interesting in the show is their husband and wife dynamics. she can be a real pill, but she's under a lot of stress. 8 kids under the age of 10, their house is clean. the kids are clean. they both look good... no wonder she's so tight. my friends bitch about her, but I still like her a lot. i hope they go to a marriage counselor once in awhile... because I think they've reached certain points where they said mean things about each other in public.
btw... John is adorable.

John is sexy. He's got great legs (he wears shorts a lot) and a nice chest, too.

Just a hunch but I'm guessing there won't be another season. Either they'll decide not to do it or the producers will decide.

There is no way Kate and Jon would decide not to continue with the show. She's made a whole career out of this with books and other TV appearances. No way she's giving up this limelight and the money that comes with it. And the producers aren't too likely to give it up given the publicity this scandal is bringing.

Bad publicity is great publicity... so I doubt as well that the producers are going to drop them. And I think they're in it for the money (J and K), because they'll need it to bring up those kids, 8 of which will be all be college age 11 years from now. And they may have been just crawling out of debt from giving birth to the 6 (because I doubt that their insurance covered for all the NICU care). And the popularity perks!!! The kids get to go, see places with extra attention.
I really do wish that John didn't or isn't cheating on her.

Word out now is that Kate is hot and heavy with her silver-haired trainer at the gym and that's why Jon strayed.

A little surprised there hasn't been more buzz on here given the trainwreck this whole situation has become.

If 'Jon & Kate' isn't a prime example of how our warped our culture has become, I don't know what is. Whatever J & K's actions are, I find it distressing how predatory the media has now become. There's blood in the water and now one of their siblings is accusing them of being unfit parents.

This whole situation ought to be required viewing for anyone who thinks they want to be famous.

I read this today and I am thinking that we need a law banning the use of minors in reality TV shows. It's bad enough some kid actors become child stars and their lives get messed up as a result. These kids are entirely innocent, and they're being used by sleazy adults -- their parents, the show's producers, the network -- desperate for money or fame or attention or whatever (all of the above).

Do these two have actual jobs besides the show?

Jon did work as an IT guy but quickly started "working from home". I'm guessing he didn't get a whole lot done.

Ohhhh I'm sure he's gotten a whole lot done...Just ask his pee pee!

Poor Jon Gosselin. His days of living the high life in Vegas with a babe on each arm seem to be over. He's now working an actual job.
