Color me....not at all surprised.

That would be a NO!! He's a dick but it really says a lot when even Jerry Jones doesn't want to deal with his foolishness.
mdphl
I was reading a rumor that Owens may go to the Giants. It would be entertaining to watch him and Coughlin together on the sidelines?

Joe in Philly
If the Giants are going to sign a problematic WR they might as well keep Plaxico, who's 4 years younger.
Maddog
I don't think getting rid of TO helps Chokey Romo get any further in the playoffs.
HornFan
I was a little surprised because it's the closest Jerry Jones has come to admitting he made a mistake.
NJ Jock
There is most likely more going on here than the obvious. Could the Owens release (along with the releases of Pacman Jones, Tank Johnson and Roy Williams) be leading into the announcement that one of the big name coaches will be taking the Cowboys job?

I have a feeling Jerry Jones is negotiating with Bill Cowher, Mike Shanahan or one of the other big name free agent coaches. Could it be that the coach under consideration demanded that the Cowboys clean house of their problem players before he would agree to take the job? That way the coach can come in with a clean slate and not have to get his hands dirty with Owens, Pacman, etc.

Dear NJ Jock,

As a true Cowboys fan I hope that you aren't a Giants fan who is fanning the flames of hope based upon a rumor that you know isn't true.

Regardless of whether you like T.O. or not, anybody who plays on a broken leg is a winner and a fighter in my book. Romo favored Witten this past season to the detriment of the team and even Troy Aikman called him out about his vacation to Cabo. Saying that "life goes on" and there are more important things in the world after a devastating loss was a hocker in the face of every Cowboy fan around the world. I've said for years that Romo does not have the heart of a champion; a talented guy who just wants to have fun and get his buddy the ball is not a champion. I hope every year that it will be the one that he proves me wrong, but he hasn't yet. I just don't see it in his eyes.

In much more exciting news, I met a TOTALLY HOT DUDE tonight. biggrin.gif

So he's totally hot, right? I met him at a film screening. We have mutual friends but never ran into each other. I recognized him from my friend's Facebook and his in-person energy makes him crazy hot and he's really cute in pictures! Looks + Personality = a total 10! We chatted for a while and I was floored by his personality. Granted if I wasn't physically attracted it wouldn't have mattered; I was definitely thinking nakedness would be awesome, but trying to stay cool at the same time and not fart or laugh at something really crass until we get to know each other better and he can see that I'm not some assho*e. I hope to run into him again tonight. And...I was saving this for last...he's polite. I truly value manners and his kindness to others was the icing on the cake.

Since I've read the Power of Now, I'm just enjoying the moment. And it's good one.

Buffalo was one of the last places I expected T.O. to go. I was thinking more along the lines of Oakland, Washington or Indy. I guess he had to take whatever offer he could get although 6.5 million is nothing to sneeze at. If he thought Garcia, McNabb and Romo were not throwing to him enough I wonder how he will deal with Trent Edwards.

This move certainly can't be good for his media exposure since he is media whore. The last 3 teams he played on were all top 10 media markets and now he goes to the 49th. On the other hand perhaps he will get the attention of the Canadians just a few miles to the north.

So much for Rosenhaus proclaiming there were several teams interested in Owens...no way he signs this deal so soon after being cut if there were other offers out there. No offense to the fine people of Buffalo but the Bills are among the least relevant teams in the league, though perhaps this makes them relevant again. The Bills haven't had the spotlight on them like this since OJ killed his wife.

I willing to bet that Rosenhaus has already filed a copyright appilcation for TO Loves T.O. (and any variation of) tshirts. Honestly I am just glad it's over and didn't drag out like favre's "retirement" or Manny's signing. And I bet ESPN is already planning to have the Bills on on of their opening Monday night games.

Nah...ESPN can't quit Terrell Owens. I'm watching Sports Reporters right now ( blink.gif ) and the first three topics are Alex Rodriguez, Manny Ramirez, and Owens. They can't help themselves.

Phillyrunner, how much do you want to bet TO is backstabbing Trent Edwards by Week 3?
blueraider
Gotta admit. I see no downside to this in the short term for the Bills.

It's a one year deal, as much of a jerk as TO is he tends to behave himself in the short term.

On the field, Buffalo gets another quality receiver for its subpar offense. Lee Evans has had a heckuva time getting the ball lately without a second person to take the heat off of him.

For TO, he's not the missing link to a Super Bowl, like he was portrayed as in Philly and to a lesser extent in Dallas. He doesn't have insane expectations for himself.

And if the Bills stink with him, so what. We've stunk anyhow and would stink without him.

Whatever happens....get your popcorn ready.

And one more thing....

check out this youtube clip. I'm still in stitches laugh.gif

That was hysterical, Blueraider! laugh.gif

The movie is "Downfall." Most accurate portrayal of Hitler and the last days in the bunker to date!

not shocked.................TO is drama in a jock strap or JOCK STRAP DRAMA QUEEN.

...drama, never worth it.
canmark
They showed T.O. sitting courtside at the Toronto Raptors game this afternoon.

Why did Dallas let T.O. go? Now we know. laugh.gif
