Sad news of Mark Fidrych's passing away at 54....

Man it sound slike he was working underneath his pickup truck and it fell on him. What a tragic way to go. I remember how much hoopla there was and this was lng before there was ESPN or the internet. Imagine what it would have been like if he had come up in this era? It's too bad he burned out so fast because that one season was pretty amazing.

Awful news! He provided some incredible memories.

Even though he is 91 years old,it is very sad to hear that Ernie Harwell,a Hall of Famer and former Tiger's announcer has been diagnosed with incurable cancer. This man has provided so many sterling memories for so many people who listened to him describe each game with incomparable class and intelligence.

That's very sad news. Having already lost Harry Kalas this year, we don't need to lose any more of the greats any time soon.

I am thoroughly shocked that the Tigers just swept Tampa Bay in Tampa Bay. The team seems much more confident these days.
