thanks for the feed links, voicemale. I was trying to figure out how to watch the Spain-Serbia tie (the only interesting one for me since Roger dropped out of Birmingham). But it seems the Wicked Witch of the West is trapped under the upper bleachers in Benidorm, so action won't start until tomorrow at the earliest.

It was always going to be a longshot for Serbia, in Spain on red clay, but with Ferrer's win over Djokovic, it's now impossible. David played great and stayed tough mentally, which is often not the case. Novak was very shaky, lots of errors. Who knows what was going on with him.

Now I'm watching Safin & Tursunov play a couple of bleepin' beautiful Romanians I've never heard of, Copil & Tecau. I don't know if I've ever seen so much hotness on one tennis court.

Rudy - didn't see the Ferrer - Djokovic match. But just got through watching Nadal do his clay court merciless hacking on poor Janko, who only managed to win 3 games in 3 sets.

Watching the Russia-Romania doubles and the Romanians are hanging mega tough! 5-all in the 4th at this moment!

Good grief James Blake is worthless in Davis Cup.

France lost to the Czechs? Simon won neither of his matches?? Wow, I would have thought Tsonga and Simon would have been more than enough for Berdych and Stepanek in the singles rubbers. In fact, with so many talented guys in or around the top 20, I would have thought France's depth would have made them a real contender for this year's cup.

Israel is 2-2 with Sweden? ¿Que? Sela beat Johansson and Levy and Vinciguerra have split their first two sets. I guess since the aging one-slam-wonder-Johansson is now below #150 in the world and the best other player they could offer up was Vinciguerra this shouldn't be that much of a surprise, but damn...I guess I'm remembering how big Sweden was as a Davis Cup force, and as a tennis powerhouse in general, in the 80's and 90's (heck, they even made it to the semis as recently '07) and how it's such a big deal for that country. After what happened to Peer in Dubai and the silly protesting currently going on at this Davis cup match, I have to admit that I kind of hope that Israel wins it.

I think I might have to join some sort of a self-help or support group for my addiction to Croatian Cuties.
