Read the new rules here.

Quite frankly, this rule, "A blindside block cannot be delivered with a helmet, shoulder or forearm to an opponent's head or neck. That'll be a 15-yard penalty," should actually be the removal of the player(s) who delivered the hit(s) for the rest of the game & a $$$ fine, imho. Some, if not most, of these type of hits that I've witnessed over the years were downright scary, nasty, & most of all jerky! mad.gif

Other than that, the rest seem logical & are long overdue.

"A defensive player on the ground may no longer lunge or dive at the quarterback's lower legs." The article references the hit that injured Brady last year. While I'm all for safety, this is just continuing the trend of making a quarterback's job easier and easier. They're making it more and more difficult for the defense to get pressure on the QB. This trend will be to the detriment of the league in the long run. Too much offense too often is not a good thing.

That is very true. All of these rules are ridiculous. Let them play.
