This clip from the movie, "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" has been making the rounds of the gay blogosphere. The movie is a campfest, but this scene with Jane Russell singing "Ain't There Anyone Here for Love," as a horde of hunks in tight trunks do calisthenics round her and then proceed to dive into a pool, makes you wonder just how many gay screenwriters there were in La La Land! laugh.gif

There's a series that has just come out on DVD of Hollywood Classics made before the Hayes office went into effect in 1934. One of the movies, which of course the name slips my mind, shows a change room scene with lots and lots of naked man butt.

But then all you have to do is watch any Buzby Berkeley movie to know that Hollywood has ALWAYS had lots of gay men.

And many many years ago, I read a biography of Clara Bow, who was known as the "IT" girl. She dated Gary Cooper for a while, until she found out that they were both dating the same producer.
