I got this question from the sports trivia contest at Save Our Saturdays and I think it's a tough question- I've been asking around to see what people think, and I'm getting: Angels, Dodgers, Cardinals, and the Cubs. I personally agree with the Angels, I think Abreu was a big pickup for them, and they already have an established core of veteran players...I think they'll hit the ground running this month. What do you all think?

I bet it'll be a team that has some talent but is not expected to win this year by many people. Maybe a team like Florida. A team that could run out to a surprise early lead (and then either hang in there all year or falter...which I guess is obvious laugh.gif ). It seems to happen a lot in baseball.

That's actually been a pretty common answer. I think people have been impressed by their opening series when they swept the Nats.

This is like asking who will have the best record from June 20 til the All-Star break.

With 8 wins my (surprisingly good) Jays are tied for most wins with the Marlins and Cards at 8. But unlike those other two teams who have played more home than road games - the Jays have racked up their 8-3 record having played 7 of 11 on the road.

I'm off to see the Jays for the first time this season tonight against the A's. I just hope I'm not a jinx and the team continues to swing their amazingly hot bats. Aaron Hill, Adam Lind and Marco Scutaro - hardly household names - are all on fire as the Jays have been racking up the runs and hits througout their first eleven games. In their eight wins so far the Jays have racked up 12, 5, 6, 13, 5, 8, 12, and 9 runs respectively. Amazing!

Add the Mariners to the list of surprising teams. Fast start, The return of Girffey, Ichiro, the surprising pitching staff and Waka ball finally brings some excitement back to the Safe at least for a week in April.

Good luck tonight. There is nothing worse than going to a game when your team is hot, and they lay a dud. Jays have been super impressive so far, I hope they beat out the Marlins for most W's this month. \

Mariner Duck Guy,

Haven't been following the M's too much, what's their record looking like?

Looks like it's between the Dodgers, Cards, and Jays. I'm hoping the Dodgers can pull this one out, a couple wins against the Giants and the most wins in April sounds pretty ideal to me.
