Nick Adenhart, 22, was killed along with two others in a hit-and-run accident last night after pitching against the As.

Man that is terrible. I'm old enough to remember when Angels player Lyman Bostock was shot and killed during the season. And of course you have the deaths of Thurman Munson and Cardinals pitcher Darryl Kyle a couple of years ago. It's just got to be so rough on his teammates.
On a side note a fan was killed earlier in the ballpark during a fight.

The Angels have 3 starting pitchers on the disabled list. Had one or more of them been healthy Adenhart may well have been starting in the minors. You just never know what will happen.
