A new tournament. With all the Serbs coming out of that small country, it's nice they have a tournament. Djokovic played this morning and nearly lost the second set. To Lukas Kubot #179. blink.gif Nerves? ohmy.gif unsure.gif

Novak doesn't deal with the weight of expectations well, but the good news is that he did win, even if it was a bit of a rocky road getting there. He was shaky in the semifinal against Seppi too, hitting a zillion unforced errors to drop the 1st set. But Novak has his title and Serbia has its tennis hero, so all's well that ends well.

The bigger news is that after a year and nine months at #3, Novak dropped to #4, with Murray 70 points ahead of him. Since Novak made it to the semis of both Hamburg and Roland Garros last year while Andy got only to the R16 and R32, respectively, Andy has a chance to widen the gap. But from Wimbledon on, the tables are turned and Andy has a lot more points to defend. And let's not forget that Roger, just 1180 points ahead of Andy, has some whopper points to defend over the next couple of months.
