I thought this was an interesting marketing campaign by Air New Zealand. They are going to have a special flight from Los Angeles to New Zealand for singles. There's a website where you can register your profile (like online dating sites) and let people know about your interests, there are events including a pre-party at the LAX airport and a singles party when you arrive in New Zealand ("The Matchmaking Ball event is a first stop and welcome to the North American revelers who have flown in from LAX. This is a chance for Kiwis and Americans who have met online to meet up in person.")

I suppose it's primarily for straights, but I don't see why gay people couldn't go. New Zealand would be a pretty romantic place to visit, too. A beautiful country.

They've also launched a TV commercial where some of there employees are wearing only body paint.

Air New Zealand is so cool.

First they had their Nothing to Hide campaign, where airline staff were shown in commercials and in-flight videos naked but for body paint, and now they've got their (offensive to some rolleyes.gif ) Cougar campaign showing middle aged ladies preying on young men. Hilarious! (The Cougar: too old to be your girlfriend, too young to be your mother... and eventually the young male is dragged off to the cougar's inner city apartment where it is cruelly forced to listen to Enya or possibly the Eurythmics. laugh.gif )

Has anyone flown Air New Zealand? Are they as cool as they seem?

laugh.gif Very funny!

If you think about it, gay guys would have the evolutionary advantage in not responding to the cougar's tactics. Might help swing the undecideds.
