It's ridiculous that they still play GBA during the 7th inning stretch anyway. But the fact that couldn't go use the rest room during the playing of the song and could be ejected from the stadium if you did is so absurd.

Don't get me started... On 4th of July a few of my relatives came over for a bbq & we were watching the Dodgers game. This very subject came up. My .02: Ok, so the natl anthem is sung b4 a game & now GBA has been added. I love my country but sheesh this is certainly overkill!

Outside of New York, they usually only have "God Bless America" during the 7th-inning stretch on special occasions such as July 4th; at Phillies home games they also have it on Sunday afternoons. That situation in Yankee Stadium is absurd, though.

After reading some posts here I thought maybe I had misunderstood my nephew. He's an avid Dodgers fan (unlike me who watches them sometimes, but not always) & said that they do it @ every game. I just found this article.
