First I have to say I can't believe that there wasn't already a separate thread about the incident last year..I searched for Plaxico, Buress, Plax and nothing came up. Anyway he took a plea deal today and will get two years in prison.

Total bullshit. This is one of those cases in which being a celebrity worked against Plax this time. He was made an example of. Had this happened to some other tool who accidently shot himself and no one else he wouldn't have done 2 years.

Great point in the paper: Plaxico gets two years' prison for accidentally shooting himself. Dick Cheney accidentally shot someone else and got nothing. Granted, circumstances were different as to the legality of possessing the weapons involved, but...

Plaxico Burris was partying at the new W here in Fort Lauderdale last weekend. As the Miami Herald reported, he "wisely declined" everytime someone tried to buy him a shot.

Because, of course, he takes care of getting shot(s) all by himself.
