Wasn't sure if anyone here's been following the typical violent drama of the Raiders, but it's looking more like a punch was actually thrown & a jaw was broken. If the story is true it may end up having more oomph than the M. Vick story...Ok, maybe not. But still, it shows that the "dark side" of the NFL continues to veer its ugly head, players or otherwise.

My 1st thought about coach Cable, "Maybe he was provoked (still no excuse to punch your asst tho)." Then I found this enlightening article. The "10 things Hanson might have said" section of the article is too f*king funny!

I hate to say it, but there's no hope the Raiders will be anything but a laughingstock until Al Davis dies.

I told the bf the same thing. He's been a Raiders (& 49ers) fan for years since he lived a large part of his young adult life up north. At any rate, I don't tease him too much about the Raiders. Altho, recently he has begun to agree w/ me about that megalomaniac Davis & the thuggish image the Raiders & their fans exude.

...So can we officially call Davis The Fidel of the NFL?!

Cable just may be arrested & could lead to possible suspension. If it does come to pass I don't think the Raiders could sink any lower...The COACH?...Really!

The Raiders just become more and more of a joke. I almost think the commissioner has to step in here. Maybe not until after this weekend, though.

So I guess that since 3 assts are "backing" Cable can we assume that Cable will sue for slander?

So the hospital records, the broken jaw, etc., were all a prank? Can we say: "I'm afraid to lose my asst coaching job."

I assume Hanson will be filing lawsuits. The franchise is still a joke. And the fact that the Eagles lost to them on Sunday is maybe the worst thing that could have happened, because decrepit Al Davis probably thinks they're a Super Bowl team now.

That's what my hubby expects.

I'm beginning to believe Hanson more & more. The violent behavior patterns are just too coincidental. Even Cable admits striking Sandy w/ an open hand.

I hope he gets canned by the end of the season but knowing Davis...
