This marks the 40th 'anniversary' of the Manson family murders. That cult killed several innocent people including actress Sharon Tate who was 8 months pregnant. Looking at old film of Manson and the young people who followed him is chilling. I'm against the death penalty but in their cases they should have died. Some speculate that Manson now is suffering from alzheimer's disease but who the hell knows for sure? Manson was the son of a prostitute and was in trouble from teh start. How rich girls would be brainwashed by that sick f**k is mindblowing. A dark chapter of history for sure.

It's believed that the original intended victims of the Sharon Tate murder group was Doris Day's son and Candace Bergen. DD's son was managing the Beach Boys and Charles Manson had tried out as a backup singer or backup musician of some sort, but was turned down. DD's son and his girlfriend at the time, Candace Bergen, were living in a house in the hills above LA but moved out shortly before the murders. Who moved in? Roman Polanski and Sharon Tate. Polanski was not at the house at the time, but it's believed Manson had his followers go to the address where he believed DD's son lived and the rest is history.
