All I can say is at least the Giants had some life in them.

Very good point Joe about the Eagles allowing 500 yards of offense. Thats actually not something I should have been boasting about in the Giants loss because it shows a huge vulnerability going into the playoffs. I am pleased to see how explosive the Eagles are but they've got to clamp down on the run and giving up big plays. I have always subscribed to the philosophy that defense wins championships so they need to get on it. They have a very good young team and the fact that they keep winning convincingly without Westbrook shows that this team is becoming much more dynamic.

E-A-G-L-E-S.....EAGLES!!! First of the NFC East teams to clinch a playoff birth!!! Not the best game today but a win is a win and its 5 in a row. With Minnesota's loss and Favre's familiar December woes, Philadelphia is right on their heels and has a shot to get the 2 seed depending on how the next 2 games play out for both teams. Philly with Denver and then at the Cowboys are certainly not walks in the park though. But, Philly is in the playoffs and we'll just go from there.

I had to run to the store so I didn't see the start of today's games. When I first put on the TV and saw Carolina up 10-0 I was surprised. Then it got worse and worse. How does a team playing for its playoff life come up so woefully short? Giants fans should wear paper bags over their heads in shame.

The Eagles coughed up a 27-10 lead (that could have been larger if not for some sloppiness), but managed to win anyway. If Dallas loses tonight the Eagles win the NFC East. If Dallas wins then the two teams play for the division on Sunday. Dallas should beat Washington tonight. Then again, look at the Giants.

Really Philly? WTF was that crap? Blew a chance at the #2 seed and a bye and now have to go back into Cowgirl territory next week. I think it will be tough for Dallas to win 3 in a season though and 2 weeks back to back. I'm still goin with Philly to move on next week.

giants fire their defensive coordinator today...after giving up the most points this year outside of the rams and lions....i'd say that's a start to getting back to the playoffs next season!
