dominant game by the giants. pretty good wins by the eagles and cowgirls too.
there's no AFC east thread yet, so i'll just post my thoughts on mark sanchez here. he played like a seasoned veteran. very well done. i'm a giants fan, but i'm rooting for mark and the jets! new england will be a big test next week, at home.

Eagles got embarrassed by the Saints who I figured would win with shitty Kevin Kolb in as quarterback for my Eagles. Dammit Donovan why are you so injury prone?!!

Many crying and whining about Mike Vick I feel will be changing their tune real soon because Eagles fans care about one thing only and that is winning!!! Even though its already said he will not start week 3, I still can see calls for him to be put in depending on how Garcia does. Garcia better be starting next week too.
Washington pulled out an ugly game today to get their first win of the season.
The Giants, who I was definitely rooting for to embarrass Dallas in their new stadium home opener, came through for me and got the game winning field goal at the end to win what ended up being a really fabulous game. Giants need to score more touchdowns in the redzone, but the 2 minute drill was run brilliantly by Eli. Would've been pissed if the Cowgirls turned it over 4 times and still won. Loved seeing Jerry Jones lose in his new billion dollar stadium!!
So...the Giants are 2-0 and the rest of the NFC East teams are 1-1. Giants also get 2 wins over NFC East rivals early in the season. Eli has really come into his own. Still reminds me of a dumb hick but he sure can play some ball.

Kolb was doing quite well for a while. This loss is primarily on the hands of the utterly useless special teams, and the defense that couldn't do very much with Drew Brees and the Saints' offense.

I would venture to bet there aren't a whole lot of defenses that can stop the Naw'lins Offense.

The Giants win over the Cowwgirls was a lot of fun to watch!

Nice to see Big Blue immediately take control in the NFC East with a couple of intradivision wins to start the season. That's similar to how theystarted last year. And Eli really HAS come into his own - he's certainly the best QB in the diivsion, and it was startling to see that he is among the league leaders in fourth quarter game-winning drives.
E is for Eli : )

Bloody awful 1st 2 quarters. But I was quite impressed w/ Marky's performance during the 3rd & 4th. Can't wait till later in the season to see how the Jets fare. If no injury occurs to Marky the Jets will do fine imho & just may end up AFC East champs. Time will tell...

Really? Eli was cool as a cucumber throughout the game. Not sure if I can say the same for Tony!
As for Jones' own assessment:
QUOTE
“We would have liked to have that icing on the cake, but give the Giants a lot of credit,” Jones said before “Joe Buck Live” last night. “The crowd was just dynamic and excited to be there. I would say give the team a lot of credit when they come into that situation and win."

According to my partner a friend of ours who was recently hospitalized with what turned out to be a minor ailment says he was in a hospital bed next to former Eagles fullback Tony Hunt here in Philly.
He overheard - or heard from Hunt - that Hunt had some sort of serious internal organ disease that required that the organ be removed and that Hunt had lost 100 pounds because of this disease.
I don't know how long he's had it or whether it's bothered him before but it might explain his lackluster performance last year and might explain why he was released by the Eagles, though the disease was only recently diagnosed according to the friend, and Hunt was released last October.
If this hearsay is true I wish Hunt well and I hope the Eagles did right by him.
Otherwise he may be just one more victim of our pitiful health care system.

Yes baby...Eagles go to 2-1 going into the bye. McNabb should be back in a couple weeks and they hopefully can continue to win. Kolb did very well today, but it was against the Chiefs who did absolutely nothing. But still...would rather be 2-1 going into the bye with McNabb hurt than 1-2 so I'll take it. Vick went in for a few series and things seemed to gel very nicely today. This was just the kind of WTF game that the Eagles can end up losing sometimes so I'm happy to get the win.
As for the Deadskins...BWAHAHAHAHAH!!! Sucks to be "THAT TEAM" that ends Detroit's losing streak. Aye aye aye que horible. Vagiants are getting it done but hopefully the Cowgirls will struggle. Lots of ex Cowboys speaking out against Tony Romo, who is now being looked at as an overhyped quarterback who never really proved anything. We'll see how he responds to it all.

As much as I love Big Blue, that game was so awful I couldn't even watch the second half. Tampa Bay is awful! I'd love to say it was a dominating performance by the Giants, but by the second quarter it was simply inept, lackadaisical play by the Bucs that was the difference.

Speculation that Romo didn't know it was 4th down on the final Cowboys play on Sunday, but they say
he did. I smell a coverup.
Week 5 for the NFC East:
Giants (4-0) at home against Oakland (1-3)
Eagles (2-1) at home against Tampa Bay (0-4)
Cowboys (2-2) at Kansas City (0-4)
Redskins (2-2) at Carolina (0-3)
If any NFC East team loses this week, they should fire their coach.

All 4 NFC East teams going against teams that were winless. All but the Deadskins get it done. I was rooting for the Cowgirls to lose, but then I saw that fine Miles Austin with his tight little ass running that ball for the win and I got over it.
Reid wins game 100 and is still perfect after the bye week under the Eagles. Donovan had a great comeback game. I still keep in perspective that its the sorry Bucs. Next week they should be 4-1 and should really go into November 6-1 looking at their schedule upcoming.
Not NFC East but GO DENVER!!! Love to see Brady and the Patriots go down!!
Oh and while the Broncos uniforms were absolutely hurting to my eyes, that material is my favorite for NFL uniforms...really nice and tight and shows off the ass nicely. I liked the gold and brown but it was the striping on the socks that was a HAWT MESS!!!

Back to Philly...burned all timeouts and couldn't stop the 3rd and 10 right before the 2 minute warning. Horrible loss to the f**king Raiders!!! So disgusted.
