I'm a great lover of Natl Parks. I thought that
this photo gallery is pretty cool. There's nothing like going to one & experiencing quiet, tranquility, & beauty all @ the same time, especially when there's hardly anyone there.

The reason that these parks are so little visited is that they're so remote. In my state of birth, Michigan, almost nobody has been to Isle Royale National Park because it's a 14-plus-hour drive from Detroit -- and then you have to cross Lake Superior to get there. If there's a ferry.
I spend a week every summer in Acadia National Park here in Maine, and it's just overrun with visitors. Two milliion plus every summer, though it's a lot less busy in the fall. Give me Isle Royale any day!
