There
was some question as to why Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin were asked to host, but not Meryl Streep, seeing as all three are starring in a new movie, "It's Complicated."
QUOTE
Following Tuesday's announcement of Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin as co-hosts of the Oscars, Gold Derby noted that when the academy used multiple hosts most recently, there was at least one woman in the mix. So, we wondered, why aren't these two male costars of the upcoming "It's Complicated" going to be joined by their leading lady -- Meryl Streep -- in emceeing the awards?
An interesting part of this year's awards will be that the Best Picture category has been expanded to 10 nominations, perhaps opening the category up to more populist fillms, foreign films, animated movies, etc.
