Former football coach Tony Dungy is now featured prominently as part of NBC's Football Night in America broadcast after a well-advertised role in the reformation of quarterback Michael Vick among others.

In some circles he is still better known for being one of the "top" evangelical christians in the market, and he was rated as one of the "top 15" celebrities in "appeal", to the general market.

Many who have followed his career however will never forget the tragic suicide of his son James the transcript of which indicates that his girlfriend Antoinette Anderson and an unnamed "roommate" were the first to encounter James at the scene.

There has been a great deal of wholesome speculation and advice generated about the incident since. But I think that - in light of coach Dungy's express religious beliefs - he should answer the question "What would you advise a gay athlete coming out?"
