Normally there are New Year's resolutions, but I thought this might be a nice variation.
For those not familiar with it - and I was one until today -
Watch Night became more popular among some African Americans with the wait for the Emancipation proclamation to take place at midnight January 1, 1862.
Not to be confused with one of my favorite paintings by
Rembrandt which bears the same name.
